Well i'm a big fan of the Cat and Fiddle as you know Gav, and so does that Yammy R6! BUT... the greatest road ever has to be the one between Bala and Aberystwyth. The road number escapes me but OMG............. bliss!

I've thoroughly enjoyed my trips to Exmoor (Mother in Law lives in Taunton), but Scotland, Northumberland and N Yorks have much more to offer (IMO).

Cheers

Theres a small road that cuts up past Critch tramway center and takes you down towards matlock, its a great drive down there , but beware of the drops on you right hand side as you go down the hill there and the mud on the roads specially when wet!!!

Road from Aberfoyle to Stronachlochar - blind summit with the road disappearing below you - brown trouser moments, but magic!

Got a few!

A264 from Tunbridge Wells (well ok, Langton Green) to East Grinstead, very nice bit of road indeed.

Tunbridge Wells, on A21, then turn off onto A262 then left onto B2162 through Horsmonden And then follow it to Yalding, then sweep back towards Paddock wood.

Another good run is A268 down to Rye, then along A259 (or go via the B2075), then follow that to Tenterden then back to the A268.

My usual sunday drive would be from Tunbridge Wells take the A26 through Crowborough, then down to Lewes, then A259, then onto A27 to hastings, then A259 to Rye, then the route mentioned above to get back to Tun Wells. Nice little sunday drive, easilly able to use a full tank of fuel

It has just occured to me, but if I didn't know scoobygav555 personally, I would say that this is top information for where to put the next batch of speed cameras!
Just a thought.....

Why do you think I've not mentioned any roads in my actual area...?
