We always wave and sometimes others wave back, it's unfortunate when you are doing 80 downa road and you flash a scooby coming the other way and someone in a junstion thinks you are flashing them out though don't ya think!

Got my first flash in this morning, to a MY00 in whatever the country lane is called between A21 and Keston, and got a wave back! Tho' I did wonder if he thought I was flashing him to turn in front of me and was actually 'gesticulating' as I carried on regardless.

hey, it felt good!

Wink

Hmmm...I think the reason nobody waves back at me is that I drive one of those "cut and shut" Imprezas with only 2 doors...

Or it might be the gold wheels...

Hey don't stereotype us old f***s, on a nice clear motorway in the early ours I pushed my turbo righ up to 62 mph. SO THERE

Anyway everyone waves to me, unfortunately many drivers around here have had surgery. The amputation leaving only index and second finger to wave.

Being a scoobie newbie, as far as the cars controls go, I am still in 'Ford mode', so I generally acknowledge other scoobys with a windscreen wipe!!

And stop knocking the oldies - you wont get past me!

No one ever waves at me. Maybe it's because my scoob's 2 feet too long.

I got something yesterday, not sure if it was a wave or a w***er sign! Traffic on other side of road was stopped and I was doing 70 (limit 70). Bloke in traffic with red scooby sticks arm
out of window and shakes it at me like a mad man!

Well I always wave - Given up worrying if I look stupid if I don't get a wave in response (saw two this morning and neither waved!!) That said at the weekend, following Dan Fisher in the Bromley area, we did get waved at by several Scoobs including a nice P1 (also got the 'bird' from some spotty nosed 17 year old in his 'wicked' Ford Escort *yawn* - does that count? )

LOL! I often found myself wiping my windows in reply to a friendly wave in my MY96. I went out and bought an MY98 and don't do it anymore. Now I find myself flashing all manner of people when I want to wipe my windows..... DOH!

Rob O'Neill

It was probably a copper! :-)

Thumbs up

I got my first returned wave in 11 months of ownership a week last Friday I knew it had to happen eventually.

So thanks to the white WRX on the A82.

As Dazzer says ...most folks in Kent wave...old us old codgers in wagons that don't ....perhaps I'm an exception....whatever..will continue waving.

Scots are shy people Ross, that's why they don't flash!

Cheers,

Rich

I live in the Midlands and get about a 40% response.I used to own Escort RS 2000`s in my youth and almost without fail I would get a friendly wave and/or flash of lights from a fellow proud owner. What`s the matter with the modern day cult car driver. Unfortunately this forum is probably not the place to encourage other owners to wave as they probably don`t view it.
