Whats the most irritating thing about your scoob????

My niggles:
> Clutch judder when cold - Kangarooing down the road like a learner driver.
> Servicing costs, though got my last service down from nearly £500 to £300 inc VAT (playing dealers off against each other).
> Squeaky passenger seat when anyone heavier than the missus (7.5 stone) sits in it.
> Dirt streak that appears down the centre of the bonnet from the front (above the Subaru badge), up to the wind screen.
> Having to be picky about parking - paranoid about door knocks, Etc.
> Off-turbo performance (my old Cavalier SRi seemed more peeky).
> The standard back box (X reg, MY99) - bought the Prodrive WR Sport box in the end (Mmmmmmm....)
> Not being able to afford a new STi.

Love my car dearly, MY99 clasic, and called classic for a reason
most annoying thing would have to be a slight buzzing rattle from the dash, I know its a crap quality interior but I didnt buy the car for the quality of the interior materials now did I.....
Every other thing about the car i love, immensely
Peanuts.......
ps, I dont even mind parking at the wrong side of the supermarket car park and walking 300yds in the rain, makes me appreciate the car more when I get back to it.

most annoying thing however is some scooby owners, or wannabe`s or whatever they are...
Scoobies have a bad boy image, scoobies are ten a penny, scooby drivers with baseball hats, your one year old scooby is worth 3 grand etc etc etc
Fukc off!
If the depreciation is so high (which it isnt BTW) then dont sell, easy, just remember what attracted you to the car in the first place and keep driving the bloody thing.
If the lax power boys have moved in then so be it, it just goes to show what a great car it is.
That is what gets my goat...
ok, so theres no longer a waiting list since they fukced up the shape of it but if you buy cannily then depreciation is more than bearable.

Every time I take the car out even when I park it as far away as possible from anything else some old dear (smelling of moth ball's and p*ss) still manages to park at the side of me and dink one of the side panels.
This is the only thing that would make me sell her !! I’m totally paranoid about leaving her anywhere.
Oh and the wife says the next one has got to have air con ..... sounds like a good excuse to have a STI8.
Apart from that it is awesome, at some time in your life everyone should own one and yes it does make me smile and feel proud every time I drive her.

When it gets very cold and the doors stick to the rubber weather strips. You can either rip them off!!!!Not to be recommended, or gently tease them off if you have access to hot water.
In fact the frameless doors are my one and only pet hate Impreza wise.

Take it from me laether seats are a liability, especially in this heat. Your better off with cloth.

Had some early niggles with my 03WRX PPP wagon, but dealer sorted them, and I love it now!!!
Have to agree with the comment about getting used to the acceleration and wanting more power, and about the pathetic horn - I'm too embarrassed to use it!
Only thing I would really change if I could would be to give the wagon wheel arch bulges/wider track so that it has the same visual presence and handling as the saloon. I saw an identical wagon to mine coming towards me the other day and was gutted at how underwhelming it looked on the road.

running costs, and the fact it runs perfectly most of the time.
But when something does go wrong / breaks, then everything else does it at the same time... end result is usually a very empty wallet!!!
Also this usually when you "just don't need it to happen" too...

Service and parts costs, along with the over-priced petrol you're told to run them on..
fuel consumption which is ****, and the fact that one day it will seem like a rocket and the next dog slow.. turbo cars for ya!!
And mine only did 145MPH flat out, which is why shes now gone and been replaced with a 2 wheeled rocket that has better fuel consumption and manages 168MPH in a straight line!!!
Still love 'em and will own another one day...

On Scoob #4 now and the roof guttering is all the same pi*s. When it rains and the driver's window is open, the water can pour down the inside, making interesting designs on the upholstery.
And the fact that you go less places 'cos you're frightened what will happen when it's parked.
And the insurance.
Lastly, having to bite your tongue when folk ask what you drive and just saying "A Subaru", without spouting out all the details..........
