Update
Just in case anybody is interested
The reason for the nerves was due to the fact that I sort of knew that this was the right person <SiPie in settle down shocker> and hence the nerves kicked in big style when I sussed out that this was kind of important to me
Well...... I've never been happier and let's hope it lasts this time

Nah!, i've not asked. I know that it would be at least 2 or 3 years before the big event and i really couldn't handle a long engagement. I wanna pop the question and be down the aisle within 12 months.
