I'd take the 944 Turbo (one of the big turbo ones please) over the Scoob. Why?

Looks, running costs, depreciation, handling

Sorry

BTTT LOL.

Caught this thread late in the day....i see the holy grail in car magazines is making its debut...the bible...EVO LOL

ive had a scoob and covered nearly 60k in one but as for sheer performance cars you just cant beat an EVO out of a box.

Anyway although the 944/968 are getting on a little now but people and alot of trackday enthusiasts and racers rate the cars as one of the best balanced and reliable track cars on the go.

now wouldnt you scooby drivers love people to say that?? well they dont and never will.

anyone remember the thread i started about phil bennet whupping a scoob in a metro...LOL

And also one of the quickest scoobs ive seen on track had its time beaten by a Lupo by 6 seconds. obviously some are better than others behind the wheel but please wake up and smell the coffee that scoobs are competant and very flattering to the driver, but they arent the be all.

someone said about heritage of the scoob?? your talking no longer than ten years ago when the legacy was being rallyed...and if mcrae didnt get a win that year subaru wouldnt of developed the impreza as a rally car anymore that they did the pick up.

anyway enjoy the debate LOL

No one has trotted out the old cliche

"it's not how fast you go, it's how you go fast"

As an Impreza owner I'd like to add that given the choice I'd rather being going fast in a Porsche. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) they don't make an estate.

I don't think the Cayenne counts as an "estate" car- I agree that it is one ugly SUV though.

As for that 944 estate "thing" the mind boggles- makes an Impreza wagon look good!

924+944 share a lot of similarites! An easy mistake to make. Especially a messed up one like that.

That thing is still ugly. Very nasty.

Blimey! just when you thought the 924 couldn't get any worse

Any idea how much that will be worth then? obviously subject to someone actually wanting to buy it.
