CE,
Does the article state what type of tyres the car was using? For a lot of the Ring tests they use R-tyres which can have a reasonable impact (and Tav's times were set on road tyres). Also, Tav's car in it's new state, would probably be close, if not beat that time (hypothetically ). How much have that lot cost you John?
Ta,
Matt

If I was starting from a clean sheet? About 3k. So, all in, including the car about £17k
I still want to try the Focus, as I actually like them and heretic that I am, I'd have one in preference to a Scoob or any of the FWD hatches (excluding of course my lovely ickle Skoda).
I think it would be a very close run thing.
Weren't there 2 Foci in CCC, the GGR one and the Power engineering one. Think the PE one had more power, wasn't a RS and ran NoS. I'll jsut go and see if I've got the mag in the car.

Doesn't say owt about tyres, though from the gist of the article I would think it was running standard michelin pilot sports, the article was "drive an RS and a lambo across europe in a week" or somthing to that effect, they did 5k miles and the lambo was sha66ed by the end of it
The power engineering car made the GGR RS look a bit slow IIRC, the GGR car couldn't even better the times that evo got on a standard car, most of their mods seem a bit rushed, trying to cash in IMO.

Nice
Checked that article, the GGR Focus RS had a reworked head, new tubular exhaust manifold, revised bigger bore downpipe with freer flowing cat, new airbox/filter, and Bluefin remap.
