Took me about 3 hours including going to the shop to upgrade my hard drive!
Tivo doesn't do dolby digital like Sky+ does.

For those who don't want to pay a monthly subscription, but want PVR functionality, I can recommend the Thomson DTH7000. It's a hard-disk based-recorder with a DVD player too and is very good. It gets the program schedule information from Teletext.

just remeber that sky sub is £10 per month.....hardly gonna break the bank and i'd pay £50 pm for it if i had too.

Tiggs - 10 quid isn't much..... but 10 quid, per month, ad infinitum is ridiculously expensive.
....just to record something that you've already paid to watch.
If Sky did a 'lifetime sub' option, I'd go for it - but I'm not getting into the trap of paying Murdoch 10 per month extra, for ever, thank-you.
