what happens if one of you enjoys it more than the other and only goes ahead with it to please the other???
i only ask becuase you said you both felt uneasy - isnt that an emotion telling you that this might not be right???

My marriage broke down because my husband was obsessed with 'swinging'. He put more and more pressure on me to do it until one day I had had enough and big sh*t cracked off. Things were never the same after that and even though we both tried to make it work, in the end I couldn't forgive him and I left.
Personally I think it's up to the individual but both people need to be 100% sure before doing it cause there is no going back
Oh and by the way, you can find out about these events via a few companies. My ex got one address out of Ad Mag!!!

sorry to hear that red_Dog. it must have been very tough for you.
but that is why i asked Scooby96. The fact that they were uneasy might be a suggestion that they arent ready for that step.

Sorry - was actually doing some work then!
Probably didnt explain myself properly in the original post when I mentioned us both being 'uneasy'.
It was something we had both talked about for along then we both split up for a while (long story but nothing to do with swinging). Recently got back together and started talking about it but were unsure due to the 'new' nature of the relationship. Helps more cos the missus wanted to experience another woman and I wanted to experience her and another woman (win / win situation me thinks!).
Anyway years ago we put an ad in a contact mag but had no replies (no we're not mingers!) - sods law, a few months after we split up a reply arrives (bollocks, no double double bollocks). Did nothing with it but obviously didnt throw it away. Came 'accross' the reply recently (excuse the pun) so we decided to get in touch and the couple we corresponded with invited us to a party.
Big house, indoor swimming pool, suana etc and about 80 people (couples only). Normal party until about 10pm when the curtains get closed and the bedrooms are avilable - one in darkness the others not - just wait at the door to be invited in!
I meant we were uneasy in the sense that neither of us had done this before so perhaps apprehensive was a more apt description.

My own fault, didn't explain properly in first post!!
Shame my ex was such a tit! He has never got round to doing it because I refused and then when I left, he realised just what a w*nker he had been. Guess he learned the hard way and I hope that when he becomes seriously involved with someone again that he will treat her with a little more respect than he gave me.
Scooby96 - Glad things worked out this time. All you have to remember is that if one day your partner wants to stop, then respect her and don't pressurise! These things can work, you just both have to be on the same wavelength!
