Chrisgr31 - she gets off on it otherwise I wouldnt be doing it. I agree I dont think I would want to watch whilst another man fvcked my lady. Guess its cool that she likes watching and fvcking other ladies whilst keeping me happy!

In all seriousness though, when you turn up at "an event", do you know any of the people - or are they all strangers?
Seems to me that after awhile, you would get to know the inner circle.
Also.. Do you have to be man/Wife, or boy/girl friend? I ask only because I have some women friends who might be interested - that I am not romantically involved with. Now could we turn up as "a couple" ?

I suppose the unasked question so far is how one broaches the subject of having sex with others with your partner in the first place. Think if I even mentioned I'd get slapped!

So Dave P how did the conversation go? Presumably most people won't admit to knowing any swingers because the swingers themselves won't admit to non-swingers that they are swingers.
I assume that most people don't become swingers because they are at a dinner party when the host and hostess say right thats the meal over, what about we swap partners. Presumably those that want to try swinging have to look for ads in the paper on the net or wherever.
I suppose its possible that over a period of time the subject may be broached when the men or the women are talking to gauge interest.
You may therefore find that having asked 40 plus people about it, that you find over the coming weeks/months that the topic comes up again, and your views on the matter are investigated further, to see if you might be into swinging. This depends on how many people swing, and whether any of the 40 people you asked do swing but didn't admit to it!
This is of course assuming that it wasn't you standing outside Waitrose with your clipboard, asking stangers at random!
Although I don't know of any opf my current friends/acquitances who swing, I used to know some who were alledged to do so, however being single at the time I wasn't in a position to verify the allegations!

we have tried it and it is fun
but you have to trust each other if either of you is the jellous type then it wont work.

FWIW, My mate has been to one of these do's with a G/F at the time, He came to the opinion that the relationship had to be pretty dead in the water (or drawing its last breath) for the members (some his existing aquaintances, but not made in the swingers circles) to want to tread this path.
IMO if you want to play this game as an ongoing thing, the existing relationships floundering and you should try and sort it out.

our relationship is no way floundering we have been together since high school most of our friends are divorced through affairs !
we trust each other we are very happy we only swing together and have made new friends trough doing so
