Scoobynet is as bad as any other forum for the "I trashed a whotsit" nonsense so it is refreshing to see some banter between owners here - very good chaps!
Anyway, Maff - have you REALLY taken a knife to the tyres of your CL500? And if you don't mind me asking, if you can afford what looks like three Mercs and a 300ZX (from your sign off) you surely can't be too bothered by the cost of tyres can you - or am I missing something???
Greasemonkey - "I wonder if they is black?" - is it just me that finds this racial stereotyping disgracefull?

No, only kidding about cutting out the wear markers!! Just havn't got round to getting a new pair of tyres fitted on the rear yet. (life still in them anyway

A couple of years ago (when I still had the scooby 
) I was having some "entertainment" making good progress across the fells in North Yorks. Was running around 1.5bar of boost so it certainly felt to be pulling well.
Noticed some kinda "large barge" coming up quickly in my mirrors which was a little bit of a shock as I certainly wasn't hanging around especially in the twisties.
Large barge turned out to be a Bentley Turbo R with two gents in. Both very well dressed. Out of the hairpins it was astonishingly quick. Out of one hairpin it was totally crossed up. Certainly looked unusual.
The passenger sun visor was down... and written (backwards) so I could read it said "Chauffeur under tutition" !!!!!!
Who the hell was this guy gonna be a chauffeur to ????

I think you'll find that peeps like to beat scoobies because scooby drivers, (minority, or not) tend to blabber mouth about how great their car is! You know it is true, and I know it is true! I'm sure the merc driver only took delight in whooping the scoob nbecause the idiots inside it, laughing, making out they were unbeatable! Scooby owners, (rightly, or wrongly), have a reputation for being arrogant, and that is why peeps like knocking you down a peg or 2!
