Thanks for the comments guys.
Super_Si: Actually I get alot of comments on how big my traps are so in the morning i'll take a few more shots
I always thought my back was pretty good but i'll appreciate an expert opinion! I work on ALL areas of my body but I do find it hard to put weight on my legs.
TurboKitty: Thanks for the support on the shoulders front
And i'll sort out some car wash pics tomorrow ![Stick Out Tongue](images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Saxo Boy: Well, I'm 6 foot tall and just under 15 stone. I was a fat kid up until I was 16 and actually weighed about the same then but was a foot shorter so I think you can do the math! I dieted like a nut and got down to a skinny 11 stone at 18. From there and with 3 years of NATURAL training I'm now how I look above.
My arm training basically consists of curls, mostly heavy but again with a good technique. I slowly curl upward toward the shoulder keeping my elbow locked in position, hold for a second while squeezing my bicep and then control the movement downward. I could video it if you wanted, lol!
Edited to say...
RichiW: Nice body, in a completely hetro way of course!

thx, tbh i've been silly training wise cos over the last 10 yrs i've trained about 5 of them....i'll do 18 months solid, then lose interest and dont train again for another 18 months. As u know consistency is key....
But i will say that when i do train i train with 100% intensity, just sitting here now i can feel all of my legs n back killing me from earlier squats/d.lifts in the week
lol

Forgot to ask, CC how long did it take you to get to that stage and how old are you? I ask because I would love tear drops like those and your definition looks a hell of alot better than mine!

Super_Si, why the hell are you knocking me? You may squat big, and have better legs etc. but your bench sucks so your not "all that"
As I said before my leg and lower back development was hampered by a torn muscle but i'll get there!

Sti I'm 28, started doing 3kg dumbells for 1 zillion reps in my bedroom aged 17
, then started the local gym at 18...been on and off ever since.
People have commented that they think good quadriceps come from ure stance when squatting ie try to have a stance no wider than ure shoulders, dont go any lower than parrallel (sp?), keeps the tension on your quads......if u cud have seen my legs in 1998
, they were proper bo! believe me....ah well just have to get back up there innit
!
Si, I can b.prench 160kgs, squat 200 kgs, d.lift, 250kgs, all free weights, so i think i have some strength too?

hey no probs
...just keep ure form and keep trying to get stronger...squats n d.lifts are the most difficult exercises but they are the most productive imo....btw i started out squatting about 60kgs, benching about 40kgs etc..
And atleast u have the ***** to put ure photos on here
, anyone can talk the talk.....
edited to say keep a photographic diary of ure progress...

Nice lifts![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
wasn't knocking its fact that free bars and free weights increase muscle using a smith machine is only supposed to be used for cutting as it produce better definition and can never compared to gains using the above.
Also to add Bench pressing is nothing but an ego/macho excercise. In the real world bench press doesnt help getting a chest bigger there a far better excercises that do this loads people fall into the trap thinking what you bench press is important. It falls down to genetics. If your a short **** your lifts in the gym will also be better then tall long limb people. The bench press should be left to the Powerlifters only.

Si, i think a fair few people will disagree with you on bench press not adding size, including me!
Still, we're all entitled to our opinions and what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another!

flat bench doesnt increase size as much as you'd get far more from incline's for Flat Flyes
my new programs looking like
day 1
Front Squats - 3x10 for 4 weeks, 3x8 for 4 weeks, 3x6 for 4 weeks, 3x4 for 4 weeks – repeat
Back Squats - 1x20 with your 12 rep max - deep breathing after each rep (add 2.5kg each week)
Good Morning variation - 3x3 superset with Heavy Abs - 3x8
day 2
Push Press - 5x5 for 8 weeks, 5x3 for 8 weeks, 3x3 for 8 weeks - repeat
Power Cleans - 5x5 for 8 weeks, 5x3 for 8 weeks, 3x3 for 8 weeks - repeat
Parellel Grip Bench or Dips (weighted if poss) - 3x8
day 3
Rack Pulls from various heights - 1-5x1-5
Hammer Curls - 3x8
Bent Over Rows or Chins (weighted if poss) - 3x8
thinking getting into powerlifting for core strength

Fair point on the squats.
But I agree with CC. I've basically built my chest around flat and incline bench and it's currently 48". It worked for me too, and Im six foot with long limbs

I feel we need chicks in bikini's
There is nothing 'gay' about this thread at all - its just a body and you see about 20 of them everytime you get changed in the gym. I might even stick up a picture of old weedie here

Front squats are the best imho loads better then the back traditional ones. Hits the quads so so so so so much harder but wrecks the shoulders so much too

Exactly how damaging to your progress is a night out boozing? I was out last night and had a lot to drink and as a result haven't eaten much today until now. Does a heavy session put you back a few days or does it have lasting effects. By the way, even when spanked out my nut I still stood (sort of
) in a garage at 5:30am looking at the lables on the sandwiches to see which had the most protien - I got 40g worth from that munchy session ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I understand true enthusiasts will avoid drink like the plague but remember my priorities in life do lie elsewhere for now.
Still no bikini's gils
Come on turbokitty ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
