stickymicky: re paint.. bummer oh well, not going to let a little thing like never being able to touch up the car without a total re-spray put me off! hehehe
it certainly felt like 280bhp, but then after getting out of my saab 9000-flying-sofa... a motorised scooter would probably have felt sharp too! Seriously tho , i did have an imported Celica GT4 3 or so years back and it certain felt much quicker off the mark than that, although i suspect the saab may have dulled my senses a little!
I loved it to bits for the 1/2 hr i was in it, but i really..*really* detest the tin-can like feel to the build. hope the engines built a little more solidly, after having a saab, the build quality sticks out badly.. made it feel more like a used lada than a world beater... lol!

LOL @ greasmonkey... my ribs are hurting stop!

the paintwork looks tidy enough as it is, the prev owner has debadged the rear, and theres no visible dents/scratches etc, although i've no doubt that there were - they couldn't have been that serious otherwise i reckon some serious paintwork clues would have been left, but unfortunately (should that be fortunately??) there's no visible traces of a paint job.

cheers!!

UK MY99/00 Bumpers have holes for the headlisght washers, jap cars of the same year V5/6 WRX and STI5/6 have no washers.
(new UK skins may come without them drilled),

Jap 00 cars V6/STI6 have square holes in the underside to lcate the captive nuts used to hold the STI6 front splitter (my original STI5 bumper did not!).

see here:

Whatever, the grill is 98 and either by good means or foul, you have a facelift bumper.
