What I mean is don't tell them your whole life story when you first meet them - how you were in a 12 step program for years, or about the lost years in the asylum etc.. just keep some stuff back. I just look back on some of the things I've said to people and thought it was really stupid. I think you should keep things simple and light hearted at first.

I'm always nice to women, always! I think I'm perhaps too nice, that's what all the married types say, "you're lovely you are, any girl would be lucky to catch you"....yeah right, that's why they're all queing up is it

I've been tempted to go the b@satrd route a few times but I just can't bring myself to do it, it's not me and as mentioned I don't really want to trick someone into going out with me.

I think I could take more of an interest in "her", ask more stuff, although I always do listen...some times it even goes in

I think it's because married women find flirting a safe, exciting activity which enables them to check whether they're still attractive without risk - they can pull back from flirting with a legitimate excuse. It's less comfortable for single women because sooner or later they'll have to put up or shut up. Unless the married woman attention you've been getting has progressed beyond flirting and you've had overt sexual offers!

Are you getting to meet many single women, or is that a problem too? Most of my friends are now married or nearly married, and meeting single people through friends just isn't happening regularly enough. Maybe my statement about single life wasn't strictly true!

Find a mate whos good at chatting the ladies up and stand next to him - the girl hes chatting up is bound to have a mate too (possibly ugly, fat and spotty)...

I can't say as I do meet that many new women, most of my mates are married / involved too They all say they're gonna fit me up with someone but never do! Them being under the thumb we don't get out into town so much either

As for the hang round with someone good at pulling...he got married on saturday That's who I was Best man for, didn't even pull then FFS, saying that there were only 2 single ladies there....well one cos I'm not sure what one of them was, she had more of a beard than me
