Are you politically correct?

Here's an interesting point - in music you hear ****** a hell of a lot - admittedly it is in hip hop/r'n'b and it is by coloured artists but this looks like one rule for some another for others...

What pee's me off most about the PC brigade is the fact that most of them don't belong to the minority they are supposedly defending.. A classic example being...
I used to edit a car magazine for a car club with 5000 members.. I once published a letter someone sent in which had some dialogue written in the way of a Japanese person speaking English.. I got loads of letters from white middle class members (in every sense of the word), complaining. I felt very guilty as we had a couple of Japanese members. I wrote to them personally saying I was sorry if I'd caused offense my intention was humour.. I got a lovely letter back saying 'no need for aporogy my engleesh is clap but me think it better than your Japanese!'... class

Ah yes, that's it. Doesn't quite sound how i remember it, when i could recite it in complete innocence with absolutely *NO* unpleasant ramifications, but hey, maybe it's just my memory playing up...

Whats is their authority anyway for "not allowing" us to use words like black, ******, golliwog etc. Is it part of British law now? Or can we just ignore them without fear of prosecution?

Maybe, but why should there be such a fuss about it all anyway. I don't notice the colour of a bloke's skin any more now. It is of no importance. What matters is whether he is a decent person or not and his colour should not enter into consideration anyway. All this PC nonsense is totally non productive. It creates the very atmosphere it tries to avoid.

Golliwogs. I remember them. Had quite a few on my windowsill when I was a kid.
Also had a book aboiut a kid called Little Black Sambo. It's no doubt a criminal offence to even possess these now
Chip.

I know someone who got tuned down for a job with Birmingham social services because he referred to his "Walkman", not his "walkperson". Apparently its walkperson, so as not to effect the strap-a-dick-to-me brigade of dungaree, roll-up smoking, cretins.

Only read the first post but if the last point about airline pilots
is true then the world has gone truly insane
[tell us something we don't know i hear you say...],i therefore take it as a compliment if anyone says that i am insane, as in an insane world this in fact means i am surely sane(..ish)
