Babbs,
Technically it will fit on any model.
Every model will need the sensors, rear diff upgrade and controlling ECU, and then any car that does not already have the centre diff control unit will also need the DCCD (which I believe is in excess of £1000 itself off the shelf)
IMHO we won't see this as an aftermarket component for this reason. However, I would be happy to bet it will be on the next prodrive special edition and that it will eventually find its way onto the standard car to raise the notch against the standard evo.

ok, so with a dccd already in place, what do I need to get this thing working?
wheel speed sensors?
g sensors?
do I need an abs system or is it throttle and dccd controlled?
I would really like to know if it is possible, as once I have 600bhp and lbft on tap, with all the other mods in place, I will need a difficult project to keep my mind occupied.

Guess the inputs would be:
Gyro-based yaw sensor mounted in the centre of the car,
or perhaps 2 or 4 lateral g sensors at the f/r or corners.
Throttle position
Handbrake and brakes (probably binary)
4 wheel speed sensors
Maybe steering position, but that would be more complicated
Outputs:
Diff lockup signal (x2)
As a project it's certainly doable, but you'd need to source that active rear diff from somewhere. From what I understand, the only available types are straight-cut and noisy as hell - not ideal for a road car.

just looked at patent spec.
needs two active diffs, yaw sensor, lateral and longitudinal acceleration sensors, steering angle sensor and steering rate, plus if preferred, road speed sensor (no mention of individual wheel speed, and no brake control required.

Just to back up, there are no wheel speed sensors or brake control, but what you will be missing, critically, is the ECU, plus the technical wizardry to make it all work as it should.
I seem to remember some hydraulic controllers in the boot also??
