Monicas hair in the heat????
That's me too, exactly the same!!!

I found a good alternative to straighteners which works just as well but without so much damage, the Denman D79 Thermo straightening brush see here is brilliant, you straighten and dry at the same time and it really works!

I rarely wear my hair straight now, especialy with the damp of winter coming anyway, curly, wavy, messy hair is back in fashion

Me too, last time my natural hair type was back in fashion was in the mid 90's I've been battling it out with it for years to follow the trends - time to relax for a while now

What are your straighteners like??? if they are the cheap ones you will get fizz! Get yourself some ceramic straighteners, they are the bolloxx

They made my x-girlfriend look half decent

Shy Muppet : The only way to straighten it is to have it done professionally - even then the results are a bit suspect.
Not soo true, my fiancee went to Macmillion and had the ionic hair straightening treatment - it is very effective.
