Have you seen the 'street trick' where he approaches a tramp and turns his cup of coffee into a cup of coins!
Hows that done? It all appears to be one constant shot from the camera?

The "Tramp and the Coffee" trick is a relative piece of cake. It is actually HE who gives the Tramp the coffee in the first place, and then he says "hey let me show you something amazing.." and TAKES IT BACK. If you watch carefully, he pushes up from the bottom of the cup so a rigged cup which has loads of coins and somewhere for only a few cm's of coffee to drain will work. Also the tramp is off his onions and isn't looking at the details.
Remember illusianist practice for YEARS - they are professionals of the highest order but are illusianists. They are playing tricks on us.
Back to the box...sure hungers strikers have done 60 days but in a perspex box you are dehydrating far more quickly as its about 30 degrees hotter in their than outside. So, I don't buy it but I can't work out how he's doing it either.

It was a "Starbucks" coffee so there was no coffee in it...Just some horrid froth on the top made from Monkey spunk
A better trick would be to make Starbucks coffee drinkable!!!!
Anyone been to see him???
I'm gonna take a peek from Tower Bridge on Monady night, if any one fancies a pint, and chucking some chips at the Weirdo!!!
I'd just like to add the Uri Gellar is still the freakiest bloke on the planet!!!! - lock up your forks.

yeah there was a show that showed all his particular tricks like the levitation along with the ice one. why else was there a large black box under the ice?
...but there wasn't a large black box on the rig that blaine actually used for the stunt. Look again at his actual setup.

My thoughts.
1) Additives in the water to help him on his way
2) I havent seen any signs yet but surely they must undertake some king of maintenence and cover the box (like the steam in the ice trick) this is when he might get valuable food / cleaning / switch etc.
3) He wont make the full coarse because of some reason out of his own control ie illness or something?
There is no doubt he is in there so it might be just a matter of will power and a bit of trickery regarding what he is drinking to keep him "alive" he has banged it on in preperation by the looks of it.
In my opinion if he is doing it with a bit of added help he still amazes me, I cant sit still on the sofa for 10 minutes nevermind 44 days in a box!?

A respected member of the magic circle, who I know fairly well reports that the perspex box was manufactured by a props company at the cost of over £50,000.... Seems a lot for a plastic box

What was he standing on inside the block? not ice!
When they cut it open they didn't have to carry on cutting underneath him as there was no ice there, just the sides
and even if there hadn't been, with the amount of cash and publicity at stake it wouldn't be hard to make a hole in the pavement or wherever during the 'preparation' of the ice block behind closed screens.

not seen that one but whilst out East I read about a crime in the local paper - Thailand:
This geezer had made a hole in the tip of his finger and fed a tube through his hand which then came out above his wrist - The tube went it went up to his armpit where it was attached to some kind of simple pump (like a mini balloon). He went into jewellers and checked out trays of diamonds etc and would suck small ones up through the tube!!!
Sounds mad but a genuine crime.
You get some mad crimes out that way - Much more inventive (and masochistic!)

Has anyone seen the trick he does in central Park with the picnicers and the can of beer?
He approaches a couple that are having a picnic and they are necking a few cans. He sees an empty and crushed can of beer and asks for it.
The guy hands him the crushed can and Blaine stands it on his palm and waves his other hand over it.
The fecking can starts to fill out again right in front of your eyes and then he hands the can back to the guy and it has refilled itself AND sealed itself too.![EEK!](images/smilies/eek.gif)
The guy is dumbstruck and cracks the can open and you hear the Pssst and he trys it and its beer.
How the **** is that done then?

I was at a ball a few weeks ago and this table magician comes over to do a few bits and bobs. Well he mystifies us with all the card tricks - they are FANTASTIC though we all know it's slight of hand and years of practice.
He then puts his palm flat onto the table while standing up (wearing a dinner suite with long sleeves) and proceeds to rotate his hand 360 degrees. Anyway, we can not believe what we are seeing. We all ask him to do it again and just as he is about to start one of the guest gets his video camera out and the magician refuses to do the trick saying that "you're going to be able to work out how I do it".
Moral - we were standing 2 ft away and couldn't figure out the trick. Recording and replaying it would have made it obvious. There is no such thing as magic - it's a question of how good the illusionist is. As someone said, that you can't explain it doesn't mean it can't happen.

iwas at my sister work dinner a few years ago..and they had a guy doing stuff at each table... Must admit he was bloody good.
Going to take a very powerfull lens tomorrow and have a closer look at this "BOX"
Also might try and nick some of the water and see what sort of fuss they make about it.....Sell it to the "SUN"!!

he's in the box, I was there yesterday!
As already stated two things emerge, 1 are there additives to the water and 2 people have survived longer on just water.
Thought the laser pen incident was quite funny.

the water must be bought in... dont think they would chance just having a big tank full of it. The security looks krap. And at times only 4-5 of the muppets.. A very nice little diversion........ (Couple of pissed blokes with a little secret in a large box should freak the security out.) and with the right research it might be easy to get behind the scenes and look around... The media is just waiting to find out more. The security dont have any powers of arrest nor can they remove anything from anyone......They have already been warned by the met about their behaviour

The Sun tested his urine last week, it proved he was beginning the first signs of starvation. They also couldnt find any "additives".
Must just be a test of endurance, he has probably already done it before to test he can actually do it under closed conditions.

The thing is, if he just steps out of the box after 44 days and says "There you are, i told you i could do it", people will say "Big deal", as it's been discussed to death that this isn't a particularly lengthy period of time to go without food, especially with $5m at the end of it.
What would be REALLY good, however, is if they covered up the box at the end, he disappeared, and re-appeared miles and miles away, say even in New York.
Now *that* would be impressive...!![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
ps, when i went to see him the other week, he pushed open one of the ventilation windows, so in my mind at least, he's definitely in there.
