Mercury,
We all speed so its stupid to say somebody 'deserves' it just because they get caught. If we all got caught every time we broke the speed limit, we would have no licences, not be able to take the kids to school, not be able to go shopping, not be able to drive to work etc...
It's unfortunate to get caught and one must do all they can to defend their licence.
Would you have a licence if you were caught every time you broke the limit?

i got done for 100.4 on the A1M, dual carriageway bit. I got £100 fine and 6 points 4 weeks ago. Take no notice of the morons who feel it necessary to put you down for speeding. As far as im concerned over the posted limit is quite ok, circumstances permitting (obviously dual carriageways motorways and the like, not built up areas). I have just completed 220 miles today at a cruise speed of 85 mph and I was over taken a lot.
Driving like a complete **** is more likely to cause accidents than speed in itself, think the sandal wearing brigade havent grasped this concept yet.

What is it you don't understand from my reply?
Where does it say he deserved it? I said it's 'bad luck'!!!!
If you don't want to get caught speeding, don't go over the speed limit, but if you do flout the speed limits, be prepared to accept the penalty if caught. Simple isn't it?

Why are people quoting loopholes for ROLIWRX to try and avoid prosecution? He's obviously committed the offence and therefore, should pay the penalty!
It's bad luck Roli, but that's the chance you take when breaking the speed limit, that you will be clocked.

Mercury, you can't spell when it's right in front of your nose, and you can't understand plain English. What are you any *good* at?
softwhizz, we are talking about a speeding offence, not other crimes so what you say is irrelevant to this particular thread.
softwhizz, don't speak for others pal, nor expect everyone to think the same as you!!!

Clearly this board has outlived its day - there's no attempt at intelligent discussion, nothing but holier-than-thou sanctimony and crass uninformed antagonism. I'm away - you lot are a sad waste of time.

This place never fails to make me laugh at people's differing views or remarks depending on what day it is!!
There aren't many people on this board that appear to be consistent.
Softwhizz's posts were helpful imo, he never applauded the issue of speeding but offered something that may be of help to us all should we be unfortunate to get caught.
Good luck to anybody facing a speeding related offence, they are far too easy to come by.
