That would be great and I'm all for going with them if it means similar prices. Their ScoobyShop price was one of the closest I could find

That sounds like a cracking price. Are there any website that have all the specs listed out? Last time i looked i was trying to find what the ecu uses for load, does it use the MAF, the MAP sensor, or TPS or combination.... from what i can remember there was an option to keep the MAF??

Cheers,

Tony.

a bit fxxxxx now
the power fc had 2 options one to run no mas air flow meter
one with the air flow meter
if im nt misstaken
the setup with maf was for 400 bhp and under
and without maf was for 400+ bhp
probably using a charge air sensor instead in the intercooler
check this out your selves i could be wrong put a post up some one out ther will know

i think that made sence

I had heard that there was an option regarding the MAF, but this was just a check box in the settings. If you unchecked the MAF then it would just use the MAP sensor to calculate load? That was just here say tho and i've looked at all the software pages for the FC datalogit and can't see this option???

The 400bhp+ thing sound abit silly, surely the way the ecu calulates the load wouldn't effect the max bhp. Unless they are saying that the standard MAF can only flow enough air for 400bhp which would make sense but i see no reason why you couldn't use the MAP for calculating load under 400bhp?????

I think the stock MAF voltage tops out around 400bhp, so to go above that you would need a larger diameter MAF housing, and then rescale the MAF voltages. I don't think this is supported in FC, but I stand to be corrected.

Does anyone have access to an English manual for the subaru version, as all I can get is one for an RX7 (this uses MAP for load, plus other rotary stuff like leading and trailing ignition advance )

the power fc has a program for using a skyline MAF if you go too high on the standard one.

I phoned Jap Performance and spoke to a very pleasant and much harrassed owner who told me that the guy who was supposed to be running the JP site disappeared 2 months ago and he doesn't have the time to get involved personally.

So UK 99 would you mind telling us who you spoke to and where as I've spent 2 hours so far phoning round.

Cheers

Trev, This won't happen tomorrow no matter what. Now you've said that UK suppliers are prepared to price match or better, it would be irresponsible not to pursue that line of enquiry. We'd all prefer a UK source.

Meanwhile, the best advice is leave your car at home or put a brick behind the throttle pedal

All good things come to those who wait
Besides i sent him another list of possible suppliers so it'll take a while inevitably to get definates, prices etc from many i guess. Watch this space eh
