From my point of view i do not have a problem with this on TV as long as it does not get rammed down my thoat all the time
As for the girls on the Bill i think they should put them back into uniform, purely for my pleasure then they get to play 'hide the truncheon' or 'have you got the keys to the handcuffs' or 'lets see what you have concealed about your person'(acompanied by the snapping of a rubber glove!)

what a load of bollx.... its like smoking, its considered the cool way to be in school etc... so the schools are full of kids that smoke...
if gays are promoted then chances are you are gonna get kids growing up WANTING to be gay to be cool.. i.e. look at the lad in hollyoaks its on not long after school, he comes across a trendy type guy and yeah hes a good character, I dont mind gays but there will be a point in sooo long its gonna be too widely spread and people will be gay for the wrong reasons... IMO
as I say I dont mind gays, I dont mind seeing it on telly but IMO it should be kept til watershed times...

chip - so now you are saying this is a wind up. fair enough; but you gotta accept that a bit's gonna come your way too. I didn't see many people wanting the thread closed down - on the whole what you got was people stating their opinions. Ok, the mods were a bit nervous that it would descend into an abusive slanging match but it didn't. Don't moan that you aren't alowed to express your opinion - no-one tried to stop you.

Just because it is reflecting society does not justify showing two blokes kissing, especially on a programme that is watched by youngsters.
I am not Homophobic, I just think that there is no need to advertise this activity.
It's just ITV trying to encourage publicity by pushing the barriers of respectability further toward an "anything goes" approach.

Chip - I'm not gay - far from it acutally.
FFS why cant you accept that people arent all the same - I doubt screening a gay male snog on tv is going to turn the world!

its like reality TV... who would have thought 10 people locked in a house with cameras for 10 weeks would capture the people into being addicted to it (and lets face it 50% of the population watch it in briton at a guess) well it did, the same thing will happen int he future.
I would wish my son/daughter to be hetrosexual and lead what I would call a "normal" life style with a fmaily etc. OK if they turned gay I wouldnt mind they are my child at the end of it all but as Chip is saying its not meant to be...
I just hope the younger generation have more sence than to follow a "trend"

you can tell kids smoking is bad for you etc etc but they see the older generation smoking they go out and do it anyways... not because its natural or the love the smoke they do it because its the "thing to do"

Being gay is a gene thing - just as its in your genes to be hetrosexual - you had no choice in that and could have easilty been gay yourself.

correct. in natural terms being a gay isnt always a choice, u just have that feeling, fair enough no probs. but thats coming from people who grew up in a generation where gays wasnt as widely accepted and u didnt see it on telly every day and seeing on the news gay pride with cross dressers prancing around the streets etc etc, in 10 years time kids will have grown up around this environment and will feel differently about it all as u do now. in 20-30 years time being gay will be classed a s natural and we'll have half a population thats gay and half that aint .... see where Im coming from?
