I think a bit more southern to, so us southern boys can have a go.

Santapod gets my vote to.

I would say top speed and 1/4's too! Handling circuit just is'nt worth doing!

I must say i'm guilty of not running but at least i had an excuse not much you can do when your diff goes 4 hours before your're due to leave in the morning

Handling circuit is a must, these are Impreza's, they work best in the twisties!

Maybe we could have a stunt driving area too, points for the longest power slide or largest number of donuts in 30 seconds.

My comment would be to make sure all the big boys turn up. cause what I seen at the last one wasn't that good, with harvey running away with everything.

Cool

Handling Circuit

John Felstead to design it

& why not insist that all disciplines are completed (1/4, top & handling) to make up the overall results, so not doing handling means that you're inelligable for the overall winner? I think this is important 'cos this should be a competition for the best subaru driver/car combination...

No problem with other marques being invited, just not in a ratio of greater than 1 foreigner to 5 scoobs - it is a scooby day after all.

If you put too many restrictions on what people can and can't do you'll put people off coming !!
I certainly wouldn't want to pay more entry fee for better prizes for the 'big boys' - they win enough prizes anyway !!
Happy with the 1/4's and top speed, Scoobs only as this is a Scooby Shootout !!
My humble opinion for what it's worth

I would love to have a go at designing a course at Elvington. If you want any assistance i would be happy to give it a go.

im in discussion with dave peck at the mo, but as i have said to him, the 3 event type day wont happen for just 30 quid a car im afraid, it just doesnt cover the event costs trying to do so at that. 80 cars signed on with deposits might get it workable for all 3 events, but cost will have to be worked out. dave is asking people to sign up for now to gauge interest again.

majority last time put their names down for cheap option, ie 80 cars got listed for the 30 quid option, then only 44 scoobs actually paid/ran, event didnt cover its costs based on those sort of numbers. dave will be looking for deposits this time (non refundable) in the new year.
to get a scooby only event you will need to get about 80 cars signed up really. otherwise it will have to be an "open" event with a scooby timing print out for those concerned.

the open rwyb 1/4m and top speed days there in 2004 will have to be charged higher than 30 quid per car to cover costs or higher for spectators wherever less than 80 cars expected.

i will get some more details for dave once he has a good list of names etc

Elvington is good, as the legacy probably wont make it to Santa Pod!

Well i should run this time. I had big problems last time the day before so was unable to make it. And it will be interesting to see what mine will do with all the mods happening to it in the new year. Afraid i wont be challenging Harvey or David but will be fun trying

sounds good

also IMO , this should be well before TOTB , so that the best cars can be picked for TOTB. if a car does not compete in the 3classes ,to get an outright result , then it should not go onto TOTB.

An underdog category for non-scoobs to take on the big boys, i.e. my 205 Mi16
