Oh,one more thing......
There's SIDC discount and then there's our discount.Just ask Danny Dunbabin as he knows about it!!!!!
Holdcroft offers SIDC members discount so I would expect this apply to the Widnes site.

How's this for a cynical view of the Mainland debacle (and an excellent model for other busineses).
1. Identify an area that has been crying out for a main dealer for ages
2. Flog a large amount of new cars to everyone who wanted a scooby and had been waiting for just such a dealership to open
3. Bail out quick with the profit before you have to start dealing with hassle like on-going support.
According to Mainland themselves, they were the biggest selling UK dealership in the short time they were open.

Im made up that Bob has kept his job, he is the most helpful man Ive ever met.
Registration Sir.....
Sat behind his monitor....
Tap, tap, tap, clickety click, raises one eyebrow and trys to hide a grin, Ah thats an import sir, you have no warrenty!
Please dont bring your piece of sh1te into my garage again, and shut the door behind you.
Customer service second to none.

My discount only appiled to service items and labour as i wouldnt dream of buying a car from them or any Subaru dealer as their trade in prices are a joke.
But getting 40 points off RRP was always a good feeling.
I bought a few oil filters and a cambelt from them at exceptional prices just before they closed.

1= Plebs (Full RRP)
I've just come off the phone to Monks Heath. They're having a champagne, sorry lemonade party this Saturday at 3pm.All ex Mainland customers are cordially invited where they will be treated with the respect and gratitude they deserve. (Apparently, they've had a complete revamp of their customer service department)
I'm gonna blow the dust off my shirt and tie so I look respectable when I go there and maybe they might take me seriously!!!!

Is that the cell light that came back on 15 mins later.
Afer all the messin about it was a censor in the second cat that had gone, £40 from grade A, expertly fitted by me, started and stopped the car a couple of times and low and behold, no more light on. A saving of £220.
Been OK since(4 months), but now Ive said that it will go bang next time Im out.

The guy who bought what was left of the mainland group (Thats the manchester road /citroen etc.) didnt want to commit to the 25-year lease that the plot which the subaru garage was sat on - Thats why it had to close. Bottom Line.
