Sky Plus

Sky plus box dimensions:
Width = 370mm
Thickness = 70mm
Depth = 230mm (not including the protrusion of the rear connectors)
Ordered it online and cost £200 including installation and relocating the original box. A quad LNB gets fitted in place of your original single LNB.
As for what I think of Sky plus . . . . BRILLIANT

I didn't know about the facility to add mins to the end of a recording,cheers!! no more bollockings from the missus
also,for those that atre new to it,watch out for news bulletins in the middle of films,you have to select both halfs!!
The best thing about it for me is the facility to listen in dolby digital,and there are many that are broadcast now.Its just a pissere i have only one rgb scart on the tele,what a joke for 1k set.I didnt think at the time,its about time they have 2 rgb scarts,its a joke.Although on a decent SVideo cable i cant tell any difference (Precious metals)

imlach,
There is a display on the front that tells you when its recording and playing back etc but nothing you need to see. If its in the loft you won't be able to use the RGB scart unless you have a fancy AV sender setup, you also won't be able to use the optical digital output for Dolby Digital on Movies.

I spoke to Sky today and they are currently offering a second set top box (standard box) free when you order Sky+.
Installation for the second box is included in the price however, they will charge an additional 10 quid per month subscription for this.
Im not having the second box connected!
