Yep watched it the other night, cant wait for Vol 2
Apparently for the asian market, the fight scenes where reshot for a different style of fighting
very bloody but I felt it was very tongue in cheek violence, nowhere near as bad as the American History X death, which I still rate as one of the most violent/disturbing death scenes in cinema

Saw it last night and thought it was brilliant..!!! exactly what i wanted in a film... ie something different..!! The violence is comic book style but is still entertaining..
Its all the tiny tiny details that did it for me and set it apart from other films..!!! the music e.t.c that water feature noise at the end fight scene..!! split sreens, the list goes on......
Another excellent bit was the fight scene in the room after she kills about 100 people where they are fighting against an intense blue background and they all appear as black figures..
all in all a cool film..... roll on VOL 2..!!!!

Yep, the fight scene in front of the blue background looked like a 'shadow play', which gave the scene a magic touch. The whistle song in the hospital scene (lady-killer with eye-patch) was GREAT!! I had to laugh out loud when the song started. The outside fight-scene in the snow with the fountain was great. .... "This really is a hattori honzo sword"...uups.

That really WAS a hattori honzo sword.
Nice hair cut
I saw it Friday... from the front row fecking neck still aches...
seriously violent but lots of audience laughs.. It was portraid (sp?) in a comedic fashion... it was good
Love the way it's all very eloquent and curtious, despite the fact one is about to be removed from existance, especially when the kid walks in from school.

the music build-up when they're out in the snow... had me banging my foot on the floor.
haven't enjoyed a film as much for ages. recommended, but leave the missus at home if she's a whinger....
