We had a great evening sorry we couldnt stay to attempt to join the lights from the North end but we had to be up early to go to Santa Pod on the Sunday.

Yoza we have a white Evo 4 with blue decals and white compomotive wheels, Andy and Helen (Aardvark) have a red evo 8.

Well done RedWRX (Frank) it must have taken alot of organising, good luck with the next one.

Would like to apologise to Blackpool council for bringing their town to a standstill last nite ......

didnt realise so many people read scoobynet, and decided to come see us all parade thru the lights ......

no wonder we couldnt get in at first attempt .... they beat us all there to get a good viewing spec'....

oh, and apologies to the security in 'focus' ... for waking them up. It was nice of them to call the ECILOP to wish all a pleasant evening, and a safe drive thru the lights ...

thanks to my radio support at the back of the queue (not sure who it was), hope we didnt lose anyone ...we tried our hardest to keep everyone together.

I think we made one hell of an impression ..... didnt realise so many by-standers couldnt count .....lol ..... how many Subaru's?? 1, 2 , 3, 4 , 5 - ok , so you've run out of fingers ...

Maybe we should make it an annual event ...

Gotta agree it was an awesome event and as it was my first was even better than i had expected.
We had a little dilema at first with parking but one of our local boys helped out sorting the Focus car park for everyone.
I met some new faces, a local lad in his silver WRX (forgot your scoobynet name mate) and a couple of girls in a silver scooby from Lancaster but dont know there names as i forgot. ???
Maybe next time we could do it mid week and the rush will have calmed down.

All in all a good night and turn out and the sheer roar from the cars really took Blackpool by surprise!!

Can i ask if anyone took a digital camera and got some photos from the night as i would love to put these up on the Cruiseblackpool website i run and the scooby members on there would love to see them.

The trip around the back way was a decent drive, I was enjoying it. But the kids were not. "Why are we going this way, the lights are over there", "are we nearly there yet, are we nearly there yet" etc.

When we stopped to let everyone bunch up at the TVR factory we stretched out the full length of the building, at least 30 of us.

Some loonies hanging round on the seafront! One rather drunken gentleman ran into the road, knocked on my window and asked if we were all racing, errm racing at walking pace, I think not. Did anyone else get a knock on the window?

I thought it was going to be a washout after our first attempt through. The kids werent happy when I said Im not sitting in that standing que.

But after meeting back at the airport the local "think tank" got their heads together and decided to take the battle to the rear. Good job lads, worked out perfect.

Anyone for a new clutch, and pads . STOP, BLAST, STOP, BLAST, STOP, BLAST!, Ive got a stiff neck this morning.

PS. Who was driving the P1 I followed all night, the kids thought it was the 5th of November, pop, pop, Whizz bang, ptsssssst, flame! "Why doesnt yours do that uncle Peter".

Andy, they were amazed at the DVD player, to the point were they took a photo of you watching it.

Shaun my Nephew said, dont let him behind you if he is watching the Matrix 2, its dangerous. I had to explain its for when he is parked up, or for the benifit of his passengers, tell me I was right.

Nice car too, did you own an Evo 8 before that one, "Its a very, very fast world" is that you? My memory is a bit skew whiff!

Thanks to everyone who waited for me at Burtonwood . Since when did you have to take a proper exit slip for the services? Did they do that just for my benifit.[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

As usual I met a few people but didnt ask thier names , I think I spoke to Heather and Steven in the Evo 8, and the usual bunch, but there were a few I didnt ask, you know how it is.

Great night guys, BIG THANKS TO REDWRX, cheers frank, and yes, lets make it a regular meet, maybe even contact tvr next time, and get them to open the factory for a midweek evening tour??
