I must have been at a different place, how they could really have called it a show is beyond me!!!
It also took me longer to do 1.5 miles than it did 45.
Once in as mentioned, if you didn't park in the first fields then the queue was horrendous again.
Very few trade stands unless you like toy cars.
Food queues were stupid too.
The fact that there was a very large amount of different cars to see and watch go up the strip made me stay for an hour or so but it could have been so much better.
I know someone will say " well it was the first one ever" but hey, good shows have been around for a while.
The organisers I think were surprised by the turn-out and didn't quite expect the amount of people.
Couldn't quite get my head around the two Fast Lane girls either playing with each other with children around.
Lets hope next time it's buzzing with entertainment with loads to do other than look at cars.
Here's hoping.

well it wasn't the first one but it was MASSIVE compared with last year & if you only stayed for an hour then you missed a whole lot of fruity cars
Sure it aint 5 star luxury & the fast women thing isn't to everyones taste lol but i'm 6"1 & i could barely get a good view so good luck to the kids lmao. & back on track i was gutted the pizza place had run out by the time i felt brave enough to try my luck but the array of decent jap motors & variations there of mode it a great day & it's good to see them struting stuff rather than just parked up. The club stands were all good :d & if anyone was surprised by any queues well erm goes with the territory surely
I enjoyed myself & didnt mind waiting, discovered the bonus of a cr4p mondeo is i dont care anout eating in it so got to fill my face in the mean time lol

I got there at 9ish with the leic/ cov lot. We queued for 10 mins and went straight to the SIDC area.
It was really busy but the people at pod did say that quite a few times, that they hadnt expected the numbers and therefore not laid the event out as some of us may have expected. To queue for the SIDC stand, Craig and tanya did request people get there b4 nine, as the strip opened then!!!!! I also didnt want to pay show prices for food so i bought coffee and sandwhiches, saving me at least a fiver.
I went to watch the cars run, not to really buy anything, and that really made the day, the cars were really quick and the day most enjoyable.
Looking forward to a bigger and better show next year

Myself and Scooby Dee also had a great day. There were some awesome looking scoobs and other jap cars who made the effort to come.
Dee and I managed to speak to a few of you from Scoobynet, who all seemed to have a good, but tiring, day.
Being our first time to Pod, we were impressed by the cleanliness of everything (including the toilets), and look forward to many more visits to SP.
Well done to everyone who organised meeting times/places etc.
The only thing that got on my nerves was trying to use the phone when the commentator was waffling on about a load

Only disappointment was the trade stands.
Scoobyworld and that was it ! And a few back of the van type traders selling cheap replica bits and pieces like gauge pods etc. and the rest of the stalls were just sellin model cars, most of which were american muscle cars ! at a Jap Fest !
Expected the place to be heaving with scooby and other places pedalling there wares, but probably 50% or the stands were food related, and even then it wasn't enough, the queues for food were huge !

I would agree that the stands weren't very good at all, but most of us just buy the jap parts mail order now, and can get most things next day anyway.
Unfortunately, even the stands that did bring anything along didn't have anything special, or attractively priced, to make people buy on the spot. Many of the cars that were there seemed to have most of the bolt-on goodies, which were for sale.
I would say, that the poor provision of goods, has made me think, that it may be worthwhile investing for next year, and having my own stand.
The Toyo stand was all well and good, but have you tried to get their tyres at the local tyres fitters for a reasonable price? That's where they need to be doing the promoting - not at places like this.
