Count me in - plus the missus and teenage son(s). We are local.

I had a look at the B&Q near to the M55 (for first gathering point, as suggested earlier by others). They have barriers on the car park, but the road leading to it from the roundabout serves only B&Q and the Hotel. There are also some short "stubs" of road that are ready for future road connections, and so are unused. It all adds up to a fair bit of parking without needing B&Q car park itself. It is well off road, so quiet and safe for kiddies.

B&Q closes at 4pm on Sundays, so it will be clear of their traffic by the time we use the area nearby.

The "Lower Prom" north of Bispham (and the Norbreck Hotel), at the top end of the Lights, would be ideal for the later gathering point, just before going through the lights (again, quiet kiddie safe parking). If we got split up whilst leaving it, we could easily "form up" again just by drawing in to the side of the road on the main prom, facing south, just before plunging into the Lights themselves.

Looking forward to seeing even more scoobs than last time!

I think ill be driving up with frank, hopfully he can fill us in on details + meeting points

 

Inorder to get some meet points time'd ...we need a meet time for going through the lights.

Last time was 8pm, and did give us some problems, but then we did try getting in from South end. ...so whats the feeling ??...earlier ...say 7pm or later say 9pm. .or as it was 8pm with time for a chat at a suitable meeting point

but bearing in mind , its sunday, and those with kids wont want to be getting home when it starts getting light again ..!! and bear in mind we're going to aim for North straight off.

My preference would be same times as last

5.00pm Helsby
5.15 Runcorn
6.00 - 15 Burtonwood and other localised meets
6.45 - 7.15 M6 Charnock Richard services(northbound)
8pm approx Blackpool meet up
8.30 thru the lights.

Are we going up to Norbreck (North) to start at the lights after meet frank instead of straight onto the lights from north (red bank road)?
It could be better (Norbreck) cuz of less traffic n we could all get grouped up together from the Norbreck side.
What about after? Blackpool Airport sounds good like last time

However...

We could go a little further up from the Airport at Morrisons car park with oodles of parking near Mc Donald's. We could then all grab some munch n something to keep the kiddies n grown ups happy.
Bit of variety and we will be catering for all tastes!! lol

Just an idea but, I'm originally from Blackpool, could meet 8 o'clockish at T.V.R it's not a car park but a quiet road at night,(industrial estate) Then could go through lights avoiding busy red bank road roundabout.If interested I'll try to give directions. Then could go on to Macdonald's near airport.

 

we might not be able to make it now , scooby is very sick and we don't know if it will be fixed in time for the weekend
