in a word WOW, impressive figures...I think I would be happy with the Ecutek personally, as you said its not built for all that power.
Quick (possibly cheeky) question, what the hell do you do with it LOL, track or daily use?

Lightbulb

Right! a few more figures for you, when it was 300bhp 292lb/ft on the TD04 the figures were

3000rpm 155bhp 270lb ft
4000rpm 220bhp 290lb ft
5000rpm 270bhp 280lb ft
6000rpm 295bhp 260lb ft
6500rpm 299bhp 240lb ft

Big turbo figures

3000rpm 100bhp 175lb ft
4000rpm 200bhp 260lb ft
5000rpm 300bhp 315lb ft
6000rpm 370bhp 320lb ft
6500rpm 382bhp 310lb ft

it is laggier but it is no way undriveable, it drives very smooth on low boost and will still pull cleanly. Its a bit like driving a standard STI7 but when it comes on boost it pulls alot harder Also bare in mind that there is still more to come in the mid-range so these figures will improve they will improve alot more when i get the bigger bottom end though

Mmmmm... bike - 900bhp/tonne vs modded scooby....

Think we may have a

on our hands

Congrats m8 - awesome results.

What can the standard clutch and gearbox go up to in your opinion?

LOL Craig not far off, 140bhp @ 3500 and 240bhp@4250

Mellow, Matt's car is one nice Escort i know you like it too

Agree with Steven with the gearbox although its the torque that kills them, about 300lb/ft i would say if you wanted it to run reliable but if you drive like a tart like Knowlesy it looks like you can run 365bhp with 350lb/ft

Urban legend or not, he was at WOT and so was I and he could not pass. I have no need to make up stories like this, it doesn't edify me to lie about things. How many 400+ BHP classic Scoobies have you driven? Andy F frequently embarrasses superbikes in the right circumstances, I I believe he has or had a rather fast bike himself. I am not saying that the Scoob is better than a bike, merely saying that in this situation the bike could not pass and he was at WOT and I was in 4th and 5th gear. I know he would roast me in lower gears. Anyway, this is not a bike vs Scoob thread, it was a passing comment I made in reply to someone using a 600cc bike to keep up with a c.400 BHP Scooby IIRC

Agree with Scott on the gearbox, its torque, mine went after 16000miles at 340bhp and 320ish lbft, driven properly.

Also agree with John, bikes only benfit lower down the speed range, but we wont go there.

John - was having a laugh... but if a WOT GSXR cant leave even a modded scooby behind in a straight line (in 5 secs at WOT he's acclerated over 100 mph in top from whatever speed) i think you'll notice the bike had the numbers "600" rather than "1000" on the side

I pulled up later to talk to them. Most certainly a GSXR1000 and an R1 even with my eyesight as I was only inches from the bikes when stationary I think the issue is what happens in 4th and 5th gear, since if you are already rolling at 60 and go for it then you are only going to be in 3rd gear for about 4 seconds on a UK box. If the bike hasn't hammered you by then then it could well be interesting.
