STI 7 SCOOP on MY01 WRX
#35
Hi,
My Name is Jon. I got Fuz his STI 7 bonnet vent.
I am afraid that I will need an email from each person that wants an STI7 vent and a £10 deposit per vent.
The reason for this is that if I order 10 vents, and only 6 people pay for them when they are available in January, then I will be stuck with 4 vents costing £105 and a £420 bill!
If any of you want an STI7 vent sooner then the price is £125 because the vents will be sent from Japan using airmail.
I need at least 5 orders to make this possible, and the vents still take 3 1/2 weeks to arrive here in the UK.
The vents are 100% Genuine Subaru parts and come in black plastic, unpainted, with all usual fixing studs and foam.
These same vents are being sold for £260+ on some internet sites!
I also have a couple of STI8 vents at the moment.
Please let me know what you guys think.
Thanks a lot
Jon Barnes

Hi,
As I stated in a previous post, the scoops come unpainted in standard black plastic.
With the £100-160 saving I am sure you can get it professionally sprayed up.
I so far have no orders or deposits for the vents!
I will not be able to supply any in January if no orders are placed. Please don't just wait around til Jan to contact me about the vents because I wont have any spares!
I only need an email and a £10 deposit for you to be confirmed of recieving an STI7 vent in Jan.
Don't let this offer pass you by, you will not get a Genuine STI7 Impreza vent anywhere else for £105, EVER!
Thanks guys

I'm dropping out too as i can get a brand new OE STI 7 Scoop delivered for £86.
Once i have it and all is well (Hopefully) i will let you know where from as they are quoting immediate delivery and quantities dont seem to be an issue.

Bloody hell!
It was lucky that I didn't go and order 6 for January then!
There will definitly be enough in stock in Jan now for those of you that didn't pull out and still want an STI7 vent.
Can probably get 3 STI7 vents in January, still £105 including delivery.
Thanks
Jon

Guys sorry to hijack this thread but those of you who have these STi7 scoops and have fitted them - a question for you.
I went to fit mine this weekend, and saw you have to unscrew the black plastic grill directly under the scoop inside the bonnet in order to get at the scoop screws themselves.
So I'm trying to get the black grill off, there are four or five simple screws, then one in the middle/front which I simply can't remove! It's different from the others - the screw looks plastic, and simply turns loosely with no thread. Is this one a pop-out plastic rivet? I didn't want to force it in case I should be undoing it in some sort of 'special' way...... or is brute force the answer?
replies appreciated...

Dave, just pop it out,it is plastic but you wont do any damage its used for centering the underside plate before you screw it all up completely.
Dont forget to put the 2 lugs at the bottom of the inner plate in first before you screw it up.
