Steve Rothery, great guy & he has a lovely wife too, met him loads of times

he plays guitar on my mates album, and I got the demo multitracks of some of Steve's solo stuff

Jim Matheos from Fates Warning is also very very good. Alot of their work is cursed by 'Ryche clone' type moans. In actual fact they've stayed true to their cause - the early mid albums have some superb songs on their - 'chasing time' is a huge favourite of mine.
