Not played this before, any need for a newbie, perhaps a bit of cannon fodder you can send me out to battle first and see where the enemhy fire is coming from? 
Had enough of Delta Force Black Hawk Down and need a new multiplayer game to keep me busy.

Beginers are welcome as well. As we are practicing at the moment.
Mkae sure you have all the latest patches, as a new patch was released last week.
You may need Roame To road add on Disk plus Secret Weapons add on disc as well to be able to play some of the maps.
We have a server we all can use and details are on the Site Click on kamakzis clicky above.

I will hopefully be able to play soon, as me graffix card died, and i have to wait for it to be repaired !! by the time i see it again, we will be on battelfield 2042

the most important thing you need is the official game
patch 1.5
also download the desert combat mod
dont worry about the 2 expansion packs too much.
this is not a real necessity

Make sure you use a joystick for the flying Bravo, the helicopters are a biatch
Also map a key (mouse pref) to the pistol, this will come in handy if you are using the bazooka etc and run into a prob just after firing or while loading etc.

Just played my first proper game, tried Bocage on quick start instant battle thing and its wicked
Not downloaded anything yet, want to practice first. Gonna have to plug the joystick in for the plane, need a little practice at flying
but like running around and sniping most though from that windmill
Well had my orders that its bed time so will find time soon for more practice and then join you lot for some on line play

hmmmmmm.....well just being playing on FTA's server for about an hour only to quit because the other team had about 4 people that were constantly base camping.....they said that cos they held all the bases the rules say you can base camp.....i couldn't be arsed to argue.....shame no one from FTA was on to tell them otherwise....

LMAO at whoever said that. Mainbase camping in any way, shape, mean or form is a kick from me and a ban if they come back and do it. Hate saddos like that.
The server will be getting busier soon enough, as we will shortly have a sister clan ::BR::, who we used to share a big server with back in the {SAS} days.
Both clans are renting another server box that we will share, both running 32 player BF servers on and some weekends merging together and running a 64 player server. Once we are back to that setup, things will be getting busier

Played this on line tonight for the first time with the dessert combat add on and wow i'm very impressed, absolutely stunning game
Had me in stitches with all those weapons/vehicles you can use and the sound effects The scorpion tank type things with the cannons on their roofs are just excellent Bloody work tomorrow, I could sit andf play this for a week solid learing how to use stuff properly.
Please let me know when you guys are going on line so I can join you. Just don't let my gf find out

I just played on a server address that Kamikaze gave me. Had no idea who anyone was, was too busy trying out as many weapons as possible, the anti aircraft gun emplacements are a right laugh
So does anyone use voice over ip when playing this game? Always used either roger wilco or sidewinder game voice for playing delta force and could see it being very handy in 1942 for coordinating attacks. If so anyone running a voice server?
