Compared to other (less capable)VaG product the 'tavia turbo in all its forms is a bargain already.

I'd say that a 130,000 mile Skoda would be very hard to price or sell. What would anyone here honestly pay for a car like that no matter what condition? I may consider a 10k miles, 1 year old RS for £10k but I couldn't see myself in any leggy car like that.
Opinions?

Quite right, mine is pretty much worthless Do I care? Nope. I look at it that at most I'm going to lose £14k (what I paid) no matter how many miles I drive. Now if I'd bought the Scoob I had on order, I potentially stood to lose more. I knew I'd be doing a lot of miles, so there was some sense in the choice I made.

Not sure what the point is here about high miles.
Any car without a)A diesel engine or b)A Merc/BMW/Audi/Saab/Volvo badge or c)A combination of the two is not worth much over 100k.
The longest I have run a Subaru to was 126,000m (a Legacy)and that was worth little, but the cost of replacement parts (wheel bearings, OEM exhaust, gearbox maladies, worn window seals, fuel cap £35 - how I laughed!)meant that in was uneconomic to keep for longer.
Actually the Legacies and the Octavia I've owned have a similar feel in terms of overall build 'solidity' and the engines feel both have felt unburstable.
