Scott,
good to see you too! Great times
Mind you your top speed was a bit wimpy as you had a 100bhp advantage
Oh - yes and I am working on that car
Have a look here...

Top day had by me and me mate. Best time I had was 13.64sec at 99mph. only go a ppp and a de cat center at the mo though, so very pleased with my times. best reaction time I had was 0.089 sooo close to a red light, don't know how I achived it, me foot must have slipped off the clutch. My mates best time was 13.90sec in his near standard Turzo3. He has just put a magnex center and back box on and a 57i induction kit, eager to get it remapped now.
See ya all next year at the next run. Paul.

How accurate do you reckon the 1/4 timings are?
Not trying to burst your bubbles folk but everyone I know who's done these type of meets (and me) have got slower times when they try it at Santa Pod !!
All relative on the day against each other but I doubt 100% accurate.

Blackscooby,
without defending Elvington - the surface there is grippier on the start line than Santa Pod - which is much smoother. The Pod is good after a main event as they put 'glue' down and it is also all rubbered up. However even with slight damp in the air the glue goes all slippery!
It may explain some of the difference - I know that with my Scoob it took an awful lot more to break traction at Elvington in the dry than it did at the Pod.

So your saying that the elctronic timing equipment somehow isnt accurate? Or that the reading fluctuates from run to run? Yet Santa Pods dont?? Or is Elvingtons measuring wheel has some rubber missing??
Could it be because Elvingtons concrete is like very abrasive sandpaper to the touch, against the Pods rubber cover tarmac?

I got 13.14 @ 95mph with a 60 foot time of 1.772
146.7 mph top speed 7th overall in top speed section
Very happy with my times for a MY97 UK turbo with full De-cat and blitz filter running 14 psi boost.
P.S what is classed as a good 60 foot time for a scoob ?

Lmao at sticky's reply but thats not the reason i was asking lol.
Rannoch the reason i was asking is you have or had a grey 350 ish bhp scoob is that right?
Why did you change to a Porker ? How do you rate it against your scoob ?
The reason i ask is coz a bloke i know just sold his uk scoob and bought a porsche and he says he doesn't like the porsche lmao but his is a boxter 3.2.
Has anyone got the full list of 1/4 mile times as they finished at 4 o'clock ?

Steve,
well I tried a Boxster and got straight back into the Scoob!
The 993 is fabulous - brilliant chassis, throttle response and brakes. Above 60mph its pace belies its power - there are times you think the clock must be wrong!
Completely objectively a Spec C would be a faster more modern car - but there is something special about the Pork - and I already have a Scoob!
Still got the grey Sti but it is being rebuilt at the moment. It has taken a few months but the end is nigh! Fingers crossed
Have a look see...
