Children work out what is going on when one partner slags the other off very quickly. After all, they go to school and there is no harder environment than that. Just make sure you don't fit the image and don't be tempted to play the same game, then such talk will have the opposite effect.
My Ex invited me to parents evenings even when we were at war in the courts and I really respect her for that.

Thankfully my ex and I are back together but during our time apart it did get **** at times with the kids. However vengeful you feel just dont do it - ok it might have the desired affect on your ex but it will also hurt your son in the long run.
I went from seeing my kids nearly every day to once or twice a month when it got really bad. I'm not blaming anyone other than myself but you have to draw a line when it starts hurting the kids.
Unmarried fathers get a shameful deal, married fathers fair better in most cases (compared to unmarried ones!) but its still S H I T. Dads can look after kids just as well as mums and its about time the judiciary got themselves up to speed!!!
Edited to say it still brings tears and a lump to my throat just thinking back how little I saw my kids.

Hi Mel, as you say I agree although if people dont know the full story its because they hadnt been told. its not fair to post half a story and then expect full constructive replys. you are only get replied to against the information already told.
either way red dog needs to sort this out and be civil even if the ex isnt civil back otherwise shed be making the situation worse.

Open your own thread about why blokes get it so bad!! I've let off steam, I've sorted it out and now don't see any point in keeping this thread alive. I'm not condeming men having their say at all, just this thread serves no purpose anymore.
