Typical example of how people in this country react about things that they dont care about because it doesn't affect them:
Me sitting on my bike in the traffic last night down by tower bridge, biker next to me goes " is this all about that w@nker up the crane, he is causing all this"... blah blah blah slaggs him off big time
Me "actually as a single dad myself I fully support what he is doing and people should take notice and realise the **** that goes on and blame the ******* ol' bill for this ridiculous traffic jam"
Other biker looks at me all offended that I stood up for the bloke and ***** off cos he is selfish and couldn't give a toss about anyone other than himself
The police are making the travel situation far worse than it needs to be, the cordon around the are is a joke, only Tower Bridge needs to be closed off at the most, not any road leading anywhere near tower bridge like at the moment, can't even get down the road to Lime House Link cos of their stupid ******* cordon, who ever made that decision needs shooting and is a cr@p copper
I was gonna get well mouthy as I got up to the coppers for their stupid behaviour until I realised I could end up with a nice collection of points for my add ons if they decided to pull me over for a chat

The way I have got round the Fecking CSA is to become a lazy student and bung all my dosh into a company account and so having no personel assets over £64,000 There is no law that stops students from working and so means I don't have to give the CSA a single penny! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
My tip is find the educational course with the least hours of attendance to be classed as a full time student and then you are laughing at the system as well as spending all your time bonding with loads of young single women. In my case that means spending hours and hours with lots of girlies that want to be Nurses
Oh how I love the single life. Getting divorced was the best thing that ever happened for me.
I am a member of FNF and it is an outrage how some of us guys are treated by the legal system when it comes to OUR children.

You make that read very badly mate reagrding your kids though and thats the stuff that gives single dads a bad name, you may not pay the CSA anything but I hope you still pay for your kids somehow and not spend all your dosh on young single women?
I pay around £3k a year for my sons upbringing although his mum spends pretty much most of it on herself going out and claiming shes peniless, funny where did that vectra come from she just bought? At least I can say I have given the money over for his upbringing even if I cant control what its spent on.
I have no issue with having to pay money, just wish it was the correct amount and it was controlled as to what its spent on. The current system is a joke with the fact not a single penny has to be spent on the child thats handed over

Bravo anyone that reads my post can see that I am laughing at and using the system. I did not say that I neglect my Parental responsibility to my kids. How much of my money I spend on my children is to do with me and me alone it has nothing to do with the state or my ex wife. If the state has a problem with my ex being on benefits then they should bill her when/if she ever decides to work again. The simple truth is that my kids could live with me full time and not be a burden on the State but the way that the system for residency is at the moment I am automatically at a disadvantage to my wife simply because I am a MAN.
Also as I hope I am a good Dad I did not want to put my children in the position of being fought over like some old CD's, no doubt this would of had a long term affect on them if we went through a residency battle.
When my kids are older I will sit them down and explain to them why I did not fight their Mum for Residency and hopefully they will be able to see that I did what I thought was best for them and not what was best for me, which is what their Mother has done all the way through our split. I am not saying that they are better off with their Mum or me, just that they are better off not being in the middle of a messsy fight. It hurts me a great deal to not be living with them full time but I would rather they did not see their Mum and Dad in a battle.

Hold on a Goddam minute STi-VII!!
You've gone from suicidal to the happiest bloke on the planet in two months??!!
Methinks you weren't being totally honest with yourself about your feelings to your ex; rather it was an ego bash to realise she didn't want you! Different kettle of fish!
Anyway, back on topic...

Man we divorced dads got to stick together. I can't believe that we're stuck with this kind of situation. Whatever happened to the equal rights that women have been bitchin about for years now? Now women gets to have first dibs on everything. And they said asylum seekers are the problem in this country,

Maybe we should start a thread about the devious things women do when they split up and there is kids in the picture. The manipulation of the Family and of the State by Women when it comes to Children is shocking...
Men are viewed as nothing more than cash cows and sperm doners by the Judicial system of this country, some third world countrys have a better system in place for the residency of children when it comes to breakdowns of the family unit.

We can start on how my ex "dissapeared" with my kid a few months back. Both our parents are not happy with her. We will find her once she runs out of money..

MY feelings where as they where at the time, maybe I am just putting a brave face on it... After all grief comes in waves and I did say to her at the time it would be easier for me if she had died as I would of been able to move on.
You can not make someone love you, no matter how hard you try. The samaritans and the thought of never seeing my kids again are the only things that stops me somedays...

Scooby96 my ex has decided on her path, it is best taken up with those Women that choose to Milk the system to their own and not the childrens benefit. I am dammed if I am going to give any of my Money to a system that does not treat Men and Women the same...
If all Fathers that where treated badly by the current system did as I did maybe then there would be a more equal system in place and not the draconian one that currently prevails...

Nope I wasnt married but even if I was I would still pay for my kids rather than let every other tax payer do it for me!
I agree the system is at fault but the mroe fathers that dodge trying to do the honest and decent thing the longer it will take the government to do something about it. A few more fathers doing this is hardly going to make them wake up and smell the roses IMO

I agree with STI. If there is any way around the CSA then by all means it should be used. At the end of the day its your money and your child so you should have a right to what that money gets spent on.
My partner and I are still together and we have a 2 year old daughter. About 6 months ago things were going south very quickly and during a quiet moment we agreed to keep the CSA out of it and do the best for our daughter. I also said that if the CSA were to be involved and it all got nasty I would do everything I could to stop them taking any more money than I want them too.

The CSA now only take 15% of disposable income after tax for one child. I used to say if the CSA were ever on my back i'd quit my job and live in the gutter before going to work every day for them to take all my money. Thankfully the 15% rule came in before my ex wife ever followed through on her blackmailing. 15% to me is still a bit high when thats just your contribution because to me the mother should be contributing to the upbringing as well but its still not unreasonable compared to what they used to take. Plus whether you earn 10k or 50k its the same cost of bringing up a child so how come you have to pay a percentage because someone who is a high earner and pays 15% after tax of 50k knows damn well that not all that money is needed to bring up the child and is just lining the mothers pocket
If you don't contribute towards your childs upbring except when they are with you then thats not properly contributing in my opinion and I agree with Scooby96 on that. How that money gets spent though is a different matter and needs some sort of control to ensure it is spent on the child and not down the pub

I hear your frustration B20, as i'm sure many others can, but how could anyone realistically enforce rules as to what the contribution is spent on? Wouldn't that just lead to a bureaucratic nightmare?

All you lot are making out that Dad's are so hard done by, but there are plenty of men who seem to get out of paying for anything! My Dad being one of them-the CSA knew all about him but didn't care!

It would Tel and I don't have the answer but to see what you contribute being spent by the mother on herself and on her bf is extremely frustrating when you know that money is supposed to be spent on clothes, books etc for your child.
Whats the point of having the CSA if contributions arnt spent on the child? The CSA just lines the mothers pockets in effect.

69 - don't you think more Fathers would be less inclined to avoid the CSA if they could be certain their money was going on kids' clothes, books and food etc?
As it is, it doesn't sound very fair does it? The CSA comes up periodically and i've yet to see a positive comment about it.

B2Z i have never told you the situation so how could you know
All i know that the amount of money my Dad was made to give in a month is more than some of you pay a week. Even if my mum had matched the amount he was giving it wouldn't have paid for food in a month let alone clothes, books, etc. I read in the paper today about the businessman who only pays £11 a week for 3 children or summit daft like that. Glad to see they got him in the end.

Sorry but once the csa have your details there is no getting away from them as they take money directly from your employer before its paid to you, you never see the money. If no or little money is being paid then either the dad has very little income or the csa arnt truly involved.
