Reply from Steve....

Hi Scott,

After discussion with GEMS I would propose the following:
All prices are installed and mapped and include AIT in intercooler.

1.All models to 96 MY(4 plug ECU) up to 1.2 Bar : £1200 + VAT
2.All models to 96 MY(4 plug ECU) over 1.2 Bar :£1250 + VAT (Delco 3 Bar map sensor)
3.All models 97-98 MY (3 plug ECU) up to 1.8 Bar :£1100 + VAT
4.All models 99-00MY on (3 grey plug ECU) up to 1.8 Bar £1300 + VAT
5.All models 01-03 MY (5 white plug ECU) with 3 bar sensor : £1395 + VAT

1 - 5 all have ALS, water spray/injection control, closed loop boost control (3D map),individual cylinder fuelling and ignition.
4 + 5 also have launch control, switchable fuel maps (say Optimax and normal unleaded etc..), mappable ECD if fitted to gearbox, closed loop idle speed control, active knock correction.

Hope this is of interest.

Regards
Steve

Result or what!!!
This is by far the best group buy offer I've had and I recon we take Steve up on it before he changes his mind LOL

This price is for a minimum order of 15.
All work will be done by Steve himself at his place of work
I will start a new list now, please add your user name and what option you want i.e.

Confirmed

Steve can install at Townend Garage or at the your home - whichever is most convenient for you (the customer)
If he has to travel he will charge £0.15p per mile to cover running costs.

Townend Garage is in Lancashire

Yes m8, Bob has replied and also Scoobymania have replied.
Both offered a fair discount, but no where near the £300 off per ECU and mapping Steve is offering us

Steve can also come to your home to install and map the ECU to save you the inconvenience of driving for a few hours.
Even with the added cost of Steve coming to your house, it is still "FAR" cheaper than any of the proposals from Bob and Scoobymania.

Steve is the offical agent for GEMS UK so you can be sure that all systems supplied will be mapped correctly (which GEMS are keen to ensure happens)

I'm out. I didn't realise most of the fancy features don't work on older cars like mine.

Im working on all possible avenues at present i.e, supplied only, supplied and mapping included etc
Steve Simpson and Bob Rawle can map the GEMS ECU as far as I know.
I have sent e-mail to both asking for group buy prices along with a couple of other suppliers.
There may be the option to just buy the ECU on its own without the mapping including in the price but I think a dongle is needed to do the mapping which cost's around £200.
