Sticky

PE have had a few problems with import cars as the ECU's are quite different from the UK units.

Give Power Engineering a call to discuss this further.

Welcome aboard John

Count me in for this.

I am thinking about retro-fitting aircon, if I fitted the aircon after the PE Map would the engine still be able to control idle speed in the same way as the OEM ECU? Or would it require a further remap?

Dave, no problem as long as she is a classic shape the ECU on the Bug eye is different and not included in the Group Buy.

Taylor, no problem mate, have you got access to email while you are away ? If so email me with your details and I will keep you informed.

n.m1@ntlworld.co.uk

RB5 286, £250 is for a remap if you have had Tek2 / Phase 2 fitted already by PE. Otherwise it is at the group buy price on the first page.

If we include Taylor then the number comes to 14 so we are 2 short of the lowest price which is £587

Come on guys we need 2 more confirmations...

Cheers

Neal

Neal,

Could you possibly get in touch with PE and ask if they recommend I have a boost gauge/Knocklink, etc fitted prior to going down to get the Phase 2 work done?

Just so I'm prepared you understand!!!!

I'd need to get "done" before Christmas, as I work away and we have a baby due in Feb'. I think I should work around this don't you??

Cheers,

Marty

Cool

Marty

Many congratulations mate, my little one will be 1 yr old on 31st Dec . You got to get the mods done b4 the little one arrives otherwise the Mrs will never let you spend the money on Mods .

Shhh dont tell the ladies, as its on a need 2 know basis

I will give them a call on Monday, I also have a few questions as I am having a VF24 turbo fitted (as its being sold at a unrefusable price) and and wondering if a fuel pump and regulator would be advisable to fit b4 programming. Also I have a Blitz boost controller fitted and need to know whether I need to remove it first. It would be a shame if I did as the boost limit and warning system is excellent.

Fizz,

I understand m8 but PE didnt want me to include you guys in the group buy. Maybe they have loads of demand and feel they dont need to drop their prices. I will double check to see if I can do something.

Cheers

Neal

I've spoken to PE already about Knocklinks etc and they said a tek 2 upgrade shouldn't need them.
I was already booked in for it next week I've got to talk to Robert at PE to see if they'll let me join this.

Neal.

I'm definately interested matey.

I'm on a MY98 wagon..about to change my turbo etc..so this could come in very handy.

Only trouble is, i'm in Edinburgh...would have to do a wee trip down. Shouldn't be too much of an issue though.

--------------------------UPDATE---------------------------

Hi All

I have spoken to PE this morning with your questions here are your answers....

Burnsatspeed, PE will not include you in the group buy as you were prevously booked in but will give you a discount!!!!

Robin, Fitting Aircon shouldnt make any difference if it does PE will remap it just for idle for free !!!!

Ash. Sorry PE said they dont reprogram the P1 ECU so we cant include you m8 . Same reason as the jap imports.

ScoobUK, PE say no need to have Knocklink or boost guage fitted.

Mike, PE contact details are

01895 255699

sales@powerengineering.co.uk

Fizz, PE will now include the new age cars but an extra £25 per car than the original group buy price.

For this reason I will open a new Thread !!!!!!

-------------------------- IMPORTANT ------------------------------

Close date for applications to this group buy is Jan 31st 2004

all work must be completed by end of March

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Cheers

Neal
