Continuing from I hear rumblings about a mapable ECU for MY97-98 In the Scoobynet Technical section.


I have contacted Power Engineering and have discussed the possibility of a Group buy for their Tek 2 ECU Upgrade for the MY97-00 UK Impreza. See ENGINE MANAGEMENT UPGRADE halfway down the page.

They have responded with the following prices…..

The usual price for the remap is £625.00 plus vat (£734.38) fitted and set up.

5-10 cars £575.00 plus vat. £675.63
10-15 cars £525.00 plus vat. £616.88
15+ cars £500.00 plus vat. £587.50

MY97 with 284 bhp @ 6270 rpm 273 lb/ft @ 3060 rpm
MY97 with 276 bhp @ 6160 rpm 273 lb/ft @ 3520 rpm
MY98 with 277 bhp @ 5610 rpm 285 lb/ft @ 3800 rpm
MY98 with 275 bhp @ 5950 rpm 281 lb/ft @ 3910 rpm


The ECU is mapped to your car and its modifications. It is NOT just a general map.

If you modify your car again after the ECU has been programmed PE will be happy to remap your ECU for £250.

3 port - easy - look on the O/S front strut. u'll see a gold-ish cylinder mounted on there. look how many pipes it's got going into it. your SHOULD have 2 ports, one at bottom, one on the side. if 3 port there is an additional on on the top.

go-on then.... count me IN !

(now I need to fill my cabin with lots of flashing panic lights! & get my 3port fitted! )
