Where are these estimates coming from? Some sort of physics model? It would have to be seriously complicated to take into account all the factors involved. If its an empirical analysis based on a few of the obvious parameters, weight, bhp, torque, Cd, simple traction model, ambient temp, etc etc, then your estimate will be just that. Chasing the model output to reflect reality by questioning the bhp claims is a bit rich! I would have thought the ETs would have had a closer inverse relationship (though obviously not linear) to torque rather than power anyways.
Dont mean to p on ur chips without knowing anything about it though, maybe it is all singing all dancing and u r the professor of drag racing at Oxbridge university. R u the guy with the Sunny?
Cheers

I agree entirely, if my 340ish Wagon can run low 12's, then something seems odd.
Steven
Lets see the 1/4 mile times to back it up 550bhp should be low 10's if my meagre 440 can run 11.6

The terminal mph is a better indicator of power and with Calders car at 115mph ?? I'm afraid it's not looking like a 550bhp 1260 kg car to me.
