Is the closing date for this still end of Jan 04? If so is it OK if I leave my decision until the new year?
Not too sure how much of a hammering the wallets going to take as my nipper as a very long list for santa

Thanks for the update Neal, bad news the cheque hasn't arrived, slightly worrying that it went in the company post box on Tuesday - will check with the bank and get back to you...
I rang PE and spoke to Robert about whether to keep the Dawes and fit the FCD. Unsurprisingly he said they remove the Dawes but that I would be needing the Fuel Cut Defender, which I thought strange but I'm sure they know what they are doing.

LOL, Know the feeling Edd, I've got three with a fourth due next month
I'm not getting my remap done 'till the end of feb, but I've sent a deposit cheque to NM to ensure I'm definatly in this group buy.

Four!
Is there nowt else to do in Yate then How do you have time to drive your scooby?
Having read the first post I guess I could get my name down and get it done in March if possible. I've got insurance renewal in Feb and in a weak moment I agreed to pay the misses insurance too in Feb as a sweetner for letting me buy my scoob
DOH!

Hi All
Scoobyfella, it would be better to stick to £60 so I can track it all. I wouldnt like to be responsible for you loosing out due to money problems created by a mishap on mine or PE behalf.
Taylor, send me the cheque please . PE is just down the road from you and will be able to sort you out in 1/2 a day.
EddScott, Closing date for deposit is end of Jan, but closing date for fitting and final payment is end March 2004. It would be easier on our behalf if you confirm with a cheque asap so we can confirm the lowest price. If it takes longer to get the cash together than April I can have a word with PE to see if they will honour the price at a later date as long as the deposit is paid.
Neno, Yeah it seems strange to require an FCD as I would of thought they could program that in to the ECU. I understand the reason to take the Dawes off though !!! to stop people overiding the ECU program to gain more power.
Johnny50, YHM with some great news
----------- The shhhhhh dont tell anyone part -----------
Right there has been talk of hiding the ECU upgrade by pressing the rear heater button.
All EcuTeks have this programmed into them to be able to hide them from Subaru dealers (warranty)/ Insurance (claims)etc. So it is fitted at no extra cost as its part of the fitting !!!!!
Its not just pressing the heater button but a sequence of things to activate an alternative map (you will find out what the sequence is when you get the map done) the rear windscreen heater is not disabled so dont worry about that.
The altered map reduces the boost so the car performs as a normal Impreza. Great also for when its the Mrs turn to drive
Hope that clears some worries up.
Finally
Right all those of you holding back waiting for the lowest price to be confirmed, send in your cheques now. Its you 3 guys we are waiting for to get over 15 conformations !!!
Cheers
Neal

Just a quick Q.
At present I only have a de-cat and soon a K&N induction filter. By the time the re-map is due I should have fitted a Knocklink and at least a boost gauge if not oil temp and pressure gauges.
Do I have to have an uprated fuel pump too? I appreciate if I added stuff like a different turbo etc it would need re-mapping but TBH I'm be quite happy with that little extra the re-map would give with the mods I'll have by then.

Couple of questions i thought i would ask. I have a AE801 + AE802, the AE801 is on the car at the moment of course, when i get this re-map done which would be the best one to get mapped? would the AE801 perform better after the re-map or are they both equal after being re-mapped and it is only when they are in standard form that the AE801 performs better. The secong question is would it be better to get uprated turbo hoses befors re-mapping or will it not make any difference to the map if i stick them on after re-mapping, the reason i ask is i don't want a 500 mile round trip to get it re-mapped after changing the hoses.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers James.

Edd, Fuel pump will only be required if you are looking to upgrade other areas of your car at the same time like I am currently undertaking. So far my MY98 has the following
VF24 Turbo off an Sti4.
Full prototype decat down to a Magnex Back Box.
KNi induction kit with loads of cold air feeds.
Intercooler is tilted, has an air splitter and water spray.
Samco hoses
In tank fuel pump and regulator.
And I have some STi7 injectors on the way.
With this little lot I am after around 300BHP
Keep the TD04, fuel pump, injectors etc and you will prob safely max out at around 280BHP. But it has cost a pretty penny to try and gain those extra ponnies. At the end of the day I am then restricted by UK internals, top mount intercooler and standard gearbox. So to go the next step will become very expensive.
If you go fuel pump then you will still be restricted by your TD04 turbo and injectors (if a pre 99). Unless anyone has any other comments. Not sure about the new age though !
James, Nice one matey . I cant help you with the choice of ECU you will have to give PE a bell. 2nd question I would fit as much as you can to your car before having the ECU reprogrammed, the hoses will improve the flow so you might be able to squeeze a few horses extra out of her or alternatively spool the turbo up quicker.
Greg, well spotted mate thats what you get for working 12 hrs at the weekend with only 3 hrs kip
Hope this helps you all
