Only 3 hours kip

If that was me, i wouldnt even have the energy to turn on my pc

Thanks again for organising this group buy.
I had thought about a link, but ruled it out due to the cost.

I should be able to get to the cov meet next sunday

Would I be wrong to hope for around 280bhp after this remap?

Full decat, K&N induction kit, Samco hoses, Forge VTA, Dawes fuel cut lifter and a Dawes at 1.2bar (which I guess PE will remove)

No, it's closer to 260bhp at the moment mate, remember it's a UK car.

Every car is different and dependant on your mods will produce different results. At the end of the day I am looking to get big results but safely, thats why I have gone the route I have. I am also lucky to be able to get parts cheaply and get them fitted by a mate which keeps the costs down. I am sure you could squeeze 300 BHP out of your car but everything would be running at the max, therefore high stress levels where something will sooner than later break. We all want big horse power but not at the cost of the car going bang and a big bill to follow.

Thats why I like Power Engineering they are honest, professional and will let you know exactly what the limitations of the car are and how far you can safely take it.

Greg, only 5 hrs kip last night and another 11 hrs of work to go
catch up with you on Sunday 6th at the Cov meet .

Cheers

To be fair I'll be happy with 280bhp, as I know the remap will give me a nice big torque boost all through the rev range, and that's what I'm after.

Thanks for the info NM.

I'll be happy with that little bit extra the re-map will give with the few mods I have. I'm not going further until I can go the whole hog or at least be able to afford a rebuild if I go to far and stress the transmission with big power.

My Scoobs a long-termer anyway so she and I have plenty of time

Taylor

I will call PE to let them know the confirmed numbers atm and the other guys who have cheques in the post. Hopefully by the end of this week we should have enough to confirm the lowest price. On top of that we have 10 other guys well interested but havent confirmed due to financial, Xmas, wife, waiting mods etc etc reasons.

Cheers

Scoobyfella, Cheque received today

That makes a total of

14 x deposits paid
3 x cheques in the post
10 x others waiting to confirm with a deposit

Taylor PE have confirmed you will be getting your ECU fitted at the below prices. As I have enough confirmed numbers to quailify for the lowest price.

MY97-00....£500.00 plus vat. £587.50
MY01-03....£525.00 plus vat. £616.88

Thats nearly £150 saving to spend on another mod

All cheques that I have received will be banked later today. Once all 16 deposits have been paid then I will let you know when you can book in your car. That is unless you have difficult circumstance like Taylor has. In which case contact me and I will arange with PE to get an advanced booking.

Cheers

I've had a quick scan through but can someone answer me:

Is it ok for me to have it done with just (MY00):
1) decat center / backbox (do i need a BB like a firestorm etc, mine is just loud doubt it adds power??)
2) standard airbox..

toony, email me at

n.m1@ntlworld.com

and I will send you all the info you need as you dont have a visual email address.

SiDHEad, No problem with your car or your mods, only thing to think about is what do you intend to do in the future regarding mods. If you intend to add down pipe, headers etc then get them fitted before the remap (got until end March 2004 to have the ECU reprogrammed as long as we get a deposit before the end of Jan). Othewrwise it will cost you another £250 to get it remapped again. Though you dont have to get it remapped every time you add a mod, it just ensures you are getting the most out of your mods by mapping them to the ECU. If you are happy with what you have and just want to get the max with the mods you have then YHM !

Neno, ta mate we think she is cute as well re mods, just had plenty of time on my hands and everything was cheap as chips at the time of purchase so it would be rude not to buy them

Cheers

Neal
