Are mini roundabouts included in this thread ?
Why the **** do people not understand what to do when they come to a mini roundabout ?!!?!?!
The amount of times I have been at a mini roundabout behind someone who is just sat there waiting for the person in the next exit to go, who in turn is waiting for the person at the next exit to go, who is sat there waiting for the person in the next exit to go... aaaaaggghhh !!!!
Re-tests every 5-10 years - good idea !!

My mom does the straight line across island thing. I keep shouting at her when i'm in the car and she does it, she either says "no i didn't" or "i didn't cut anyone up he's behind me". arrrrgghhhh

Living in MK I get plenty of practice of avoiding roundabout antics. People pulling out I can cope with as they often assume you will slow down cos you dont want to hit em i.e calculated rather than crass stupidity. However the ******* that start in the outside lane and drive a straight line through roundabouts chopping anyone on the inside in complete oblivion really pisses me off. The few times I have even bothered to blast the horn they dont seem to understand what the have done wrong. grrh

Bracknell is full of the fecking nobbers that on big 3 marked lane 4/5 exit roundabouts, going right round the things in the left/"nearside" lane - even if they are taking the last exit oblivious to everyone else. grrrrrrrrrrr.
I mean - WHAT THE ****?!?!?

The straight line argument can be a bit moot on inner-city roundabouts as often there are no road markings to dictate the appropriate path.
I'd rather have someone who feels that they are a 'basic mode" driver stop at a roundabout than plough into someone in front of me. I had a mate who was un-coordinated who used to do this and he was fine until he started picking up all the bad habits of those of us who'd passed our driving tests (this was 20 years ago).
I've stopped attempting 'playful' maneouvres at roundabouts where there's other traffic around. You can't know what they are going to do.
Vindaloo.

I know I'm going to get caned for this but why o why do women come steaming onto roundabouts without even the slightest cursory glance to their right to see if there is any other traffic on the roundabout????
It happenend to me again tonight.
I know guys do it but I believe that most guys will know they've pulled out infront of somebody and are just chancing their luck/ couldn't give a toss while women seem totally oblivious

Two woman did this to me recently, one in an Audi-the other a Beetle. The Beetle driver at least had the sense to pull out quickly but the Audi driver just tootled off at 100rpm and I knew if I braked hard enough to miss her I would lock up(non abs van).So I had to steer for the gap between the 2 cars and the Audi driver still didn't see me and decided to carry on around the roundabout in my path in the outside lane, which then forced me to brake and lock up.
Of course this was my fault and she screamed abuse at me as I literally missed her by inches. If she'd used a bit of common sense then she would have come off at the first exit(I've come off at exits I don't want before to avoid accidents)

was on a roundabout today, broad day light, I was on the roundabout, not just about to get on it or anything, a woman in a 406 looked straight at me, and something said to me, shes going to pull out-------yep, she did, if I continued at my speed, and I wasnt ragging it or anything(Im running a new car in at the moment) I would have driven into the side of her! People are so arrogant they KNOW that if they do it, youll brake! you have to dont you. Gonna buy a banger and start T-boneing people

Being a white transit van driver people always pull out on you thinking you will just be tootling along.....
But I'm usually barreling along at a brisk pace, and I see them looking directly at me as they pull out in front of me, so I pretend to look away and not notice them while aiming at their drivers door....
makes me laugh anyway
