Costs about £8.51 to list car, with 4 pictures, 1 gallery picture, and to put a reserve on it - £6.51 if you don't want to put a reserve on. If your car doesn't make the reserve - that's all you pay, if it does make reserve and sells you pay a further £8. It cost me a total of £16.51! There is no guarentee that the winning bidder is going to pay up - but let's face it - for the sake of £20 I made the best part of £3000 more than I would have got on a trade-in. I tried Autotrader at £16,000 and didn't even get 1 phone call - not even any timewasters! I was sceptical too, but honest to God eBay is definately worth a try!
After the end of the auction on Sunday night, he called me to tell me that he'd just "won" the WRX. He collected the car on Wednesday - paid by bankers draft which we deposited at my bank together so that we could both have a reciept. No problems at all! I'd highly recommend eBay. You just have to be careful with your wording "bid is to buy, not to view - all questions / viewings must be completed before a bid is placed" etc etc.
Thanks for that - somebody has a lot of car for not so much money, thought you would have got much closer to £12500 think this time of year is also slow / difficult to sell a car.

Didn't really have to sell until February, but thought it would be more attractive to buyers with a couple of months Subaru warranty. Plus we wanted to know where we stood money-wise with regards to buying its replacement.
