You gotta laugh - at least our football support is class - the renowned Tartan Army.

Correct me if I am wrong, but England are STILL under threat from being banned from Euro 2004 due to fan behaviour problems.

Oops. Bad losers?

I'm not a sour faced jock Bravo I think its great that the UK has won another great sporting event. Isnt that what 'they' call jock based winners, UK sportsmen?

BTW I hate ALL sports anyhow, hehe

Ringpeas - it is only the English that hate the French! Never heard of the Auld Alliance? Scots & French have a long history of love for each other

If we were more like the French things may be better in the UK. At least they look after their own.

The scots are bloody useless when it comes to sport and that is a FACT!!
Football cr@p,rugby even cr@ppier etc etc etc

I'm sure Wales have done better, rugby in the 70's and could/should of become world champs if there was a world championship then LOL and their football team look really good until the euro champs.

So being the second biggest population in the UK,you should be out performing your neighbours from the valleys LOL

Wink

If population has anything to do with it, how come India aren't world champions at everything? Apart from an OK cricket team, they're shyte at everything else. And NZ has a population of 3m and are one of the world's best rugby nations (forgetting that they nick half their best players from South Pacific island nations even smaller than themselves...)

LOL, yes we are generally crap at sport with one or two exceptions

And we dont care

We can always look on the bright side I mean, who else, having been gubbed 6 nil would say "aye, we played well - just didn't get the luck"....LOL

Even I can be honest and say, nope mate, Scotland lost 6 nil 'cos the team were sh1te.....

But more importantly, we don't go around like boozed up thugs when we don't win...we party....cos life's too short.

And we don't have anything to prove by running about fighting

Incidentally, the last Scottish world cup team win was in 2002 - the Womens Curling team.

And talking football, many English clubs have benefitted from Scots over the years, like Sir Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Denis Law, Billy Bremner, Jimmy Johnstone and player-turned-manager Kenny Dalglish.

But the numbers of inhabitants says it all really - I think you'll find us Scots are more successful on a percentage of population than our immediate neighbours

D

Anyway i still reckon the welsh are more successful/better than the scots at sport.
