Hey ADP,

Try this in your S2000, come into a wet corner reasonably quick and then lift off or change down. Let us know what happens.

BTW, where is that buliding you shot your Scoob in front of?

Cheers,
Mark

WTF???, Try not under steering round corners, not looking like a ricer in a Max power Scooby, try taking the roof off in summer, try driving something that doesn't drive it's self and takes some sort of skill to drive well.
Let me know how you get on,

I preferred Scooby’s when I didn't know any better as well. Having owned both, I'd pick the S2000
Cheers,

Bumcrack

Wow what a bunch of jealous ******!

Love the new car mate and would be keen for a bit of advice (seeming as you had a Scoob for 2 years AND now have the S200, unlike the losers who are posting above)

Anyways I had enough of my Scooby already (2 months in a MY02 WRX) and I want to get rid. I like the car a lot don't get me wrong but I need to do one of the following...

A - Keep the WRX and add PPP/18 In Rims and some F1's blah blah blah

This ain't happening as adding that cost to car takes me into a whole new league of motor!!!! Throwing good money down the drain ain't my thing.

B - Upgrade next year to the Sti8

No way - Max power piece of sh*t - awesome car no doubt but looks seriously lame IMO + I'd probably just want to PPP it etc etc..

C - Get rid of the WRX and go for something else

Oh yeah - this is the only way forward. The only time I've enjoyed my Scooby have been either dangerous or against the law, often both. After spending a bit of time in the S2000 a mate had I realised i could have more fun at less speed and in better comfort....plus save a bit of cash and hit the coast on those rare suny mornings with the roof down!!

Sorted

PS - The S gets all the ladies going, they love it!!!!

Just wanted to get a broader idea of the differences between the two cars?

Plus sides and negatives on both?

Convince me I should get the S2000!!!

Nice one - good to see someone is coming round to my way of thinking !!!!!!

So much nicer than a scoob!!

By the way - did you realise that there is a face lifted model coming at the start of next year?

I came very close to making an offer on your Scoob when you 1st put it up for sale. Those photos really sold it, looked a gem. I guess its got a new owner now . I'm holding out for when the MY03's start getting chopped in, but I test drove an S2000 last summer (the hottest day of the year ) and it was a stunning drive. Just a little out of my price bracket and not as practical but still superb. Enjoy.

ADP - Thanks for all your help and the kind offer of a little spin!

Going to see one later this afternoon - Silver with Black leather and S2K GO number plate!

I'll be sure to drop you a note once I've made the switch.

Cheers

That was a bit random mate - this thread was about someone swapping from a Scooby to a S2K and then a little discussion about the S2K.......not really sure why you posted that here!

Think I've got one...let me know what you think.....

X Plate Reg Nov 00 1 owner - 1 year warranty added from the dealer.

Its grey with black interior but I've not seen it yet - dealer went out to check and told me..

3 wheels perfect but 1 had a slight mark.
Plastic surround for ragtop has a scrape in it and the leather is a little worn, thinks it will come up good with some treatment.

26K and they will service before collection.

Thats about it and they want Ł18K

Do you think it sounds ok?

I was looking at an S2000 as a company car, test drove it, did the figures etc. then found they couldnt get the spec I wanted because there is a facelift model coming out at the start of next year.

Come the new year I'll be back to the Honda dealer.....then Mazda... then Nissan... then, no doubt, back to Honda with a cheque

On my S2 test drive I was next to a lad in a "boy recered" Saxo, the salesman says "of course its good for embarasing boy racers" so how could I refuse ? Wasted the Saxo.

Great noise
Great looks
Great seats
Great roof
Great handling
Great steering
Great fun

ADP dude - what do think about price and spec of the one I posted up?

Goochie - I got a MY02 WRX which is group 19 - I checked and found out the S2000 is group 20!! so I called my insurers for a quote and they said it would be the same as current cover....cool with me.

PS - I also had to own up to 3 points and they hammered me for 6 squid !
