Wink

He has done it once, and he will do it again trust me, people don't really change that much.

Report the ***** before he does it to you again, or another innocent female. Hitting women isn't on and shouldn't be accepted. So he's you brother, so what!!! Did he think of that before he hit you, NO!!!

Just remember it doesn't really matter what happened before to make him angry. HE STILL HIT YOU so please don't feel guilty or sorry for him!!!

You have a duty to report this incident. He sounds as though he has a real problem. Who will it be next? His Mother? His Father or you again. He is already using threatening behaviour.
Sorry love you just have to do it. Doesnt sound much like a Brother to me.
My elder and much bigger Brother always looked after me, not beat me.

...the longer you wait, the more chance that he will get away with it.

Cool

Lets just hope he doesn't decide to seek revenge on you for grassing him up, even if he is convicted what sentance will he get? a year 2 max I still think you should report him to his CO as who is to say he has not done it to someone else??? or about to do it to someone else, let the air force deal with him in their own way aswell as you persuing a civil prosecution, guaranteed the RAF RPs will make him wish he hadn't done it.

RPs = Regimental Police (not sure of RAF equivelent)
CO = Commanding Officer

If there is a civil prosecution, will he have to declare this to the RAF? If so, and bearing in mind that the prosecution will be for assault, ABH or GBH, and that it was against his sister, will the RAF take any action as well - even though it is a civilain matter? If the RAF do find out, what are they likely to do?

Anyone know?

A person cannot be punished by Civil and Service authorities. It is one or the other and, as I said earlier, as there was civil involvement, jurisdiction will most likely be retained by the Civil police.

Lightbulb

but if you commit a civil or criminal offence that contravenes the terms of employment, your employer can still take disciplinary action against you.

they are planning to sack all police officers that are convicted of domestic violence, for example.

only trouble is, once all the racists and wife beaters are rooted out of the police force, will there be any old bill left?
