who cares what "cossie drivers" think. If they want to live in the land of nod then they are welcome to do so.
I used to drive a 350BHP cossie, my Impreza with just 300BHP is a much quicker car. There is more to a car than its Power or 1/4 mile time. If some people fixate on that then more fool them.

fair enough, also is the difference in the mid range torque bigger in the scoob than cossie?
Cause a remember being in a 400bhp 3-door, the owner (tam) was cruising along a a-road, then decided to put the pedal through the metal, it was pretty stomach wrenching!

Well that's ok then. Afternoon John
So what's the fascination with speed then, Surely anyone can sit in a high powered car and floor it whilst excercising (sp?) a bit of clutch control and ying up the track.
Surely good drivers in moderately quick cars have more fun. (Still with me John )
I know what it is, it's harder to talk about how fast your car is unless there is a time involved 0-60, qtr mile, etc Oh yes that's right, It's maybe an intelligence thing, buy a cheap car, buy it based on how much it will cost to tune up for raw BHP, (never mind torque, doesn't sound good down the pub and what happens if someone asks you about it? This year 600 is the figure for cossies isn't it? ) Throw some cash at it, point it up a road and hey presto, cool car. Oh don't forget to compare it to a scoob for extra cudos

I think this thread was posted deliberatley with the intention to wind up.
My guess is, the thread starter dosen't actually give a **** or he's read some of the thread and joined another board and asked there. Bearing in mind it is his/hers one and only post!!
John, How means Why in Scotland, I thought you'd have known that
Edited to say whilst I wrote this post the topic starter replied
