lol @ andy garret themselves said their moving away from the t series coz its old and the gt is alot better

and drb5 spec s is awesome

so it dont need defending

and drb5 gt is the new garret turbos like the gt30 35 gt45 etc etc

and mines detuned to gt3240 i went for something bigger , no bull but my 2.3 stroker is not suitable for it so i wish i had a 2.2 then i had the best turbo and also would have touched 850 bhp no bull

The td15 is not a Garrett turbo !! It is a Mitsubishi unit, the Japanese are always one step ahead

Cool

This *new generation* TD15-03HS (to give it its' full title) looks really promising specially for the bigger capacity engines.
Really need to get my finger out and get my next engine built..

Cool

and tell him what the HS designator is for
HS stands for helical scroll which is a clever design aimed at getting more power from the car over established turbo routes such as tapered inducers and ported shrouds.

not surprised you have not had time to sort out these details moses , I mean at the pace this project is happening you have barely had time to draw breath

could you not have sold off your standard stuff to pay for the RS stuff , or is your stuff worth much less?

it is just that it is costing you double if you know for a fact that your standard stuff will fail when you could sell it to pay towards the right stuff.

hi mate ive been trying to sell it for ages mate

what pi55es me off is the rs stuff new is alot cheaper than the ayc stuff and the traders who wanna buy it off me wanna pay peanuts for it

i sold some stuff already but hard to get rid of the ayc kit , some people just want to buy like a single driveshaft or a ayc pump i dont wanna sell it separate

suppose people will just want the bits they break rather than the complete unit which your selling.

are there any other options so that you could use your own shafts and prop etc.?

all i can use is the prop mate they can mod it for 180.00 quid

but the driveshafts, diff and carriers have to go

its actually the diff casing and crown thats weak along with the active diff

rs is alot stronger and much bigger and u can also plate it for extra strength

its sad i spent money on fixing it last yr and thats part of the reason i ran out of money, i saved up for the rs stuff and would have had money left over for a dogbox but it was spent on the car when my mate crashed it last summer do u remember

could you not run it in yourself?

if you can't give it yeah-haaaaaaa with the standard diff then why not get a sensible run-in/save the weak stuff map , so that you can get the car back rather than get it back in monster spec and kill the diffs anyway

mate point taken

but even if its mapped to be a monster my friend u know its all down to how heavy your right foot is i wont be booting it till i get my rs diff anyway

and its mapped such a way see i have a switcher and i can switch it from 1.3 to 1.8 to 2.5 bar if i wish

it has 3 buttons on it so i will be running 1.3 bar anyway but still i wont be launching it for a while

and i wanted it done properly down south , i have bad luck with my cars and didnt wanna blow it up while running it in , knowing moses he does fecked up things

but will you not need to go back down to get it mapped to kick *** spec , after the diff goes on so it can be tidied up under hard use anyway.
