He hasnt replied yet. I think you guys killed him off. And knowing him, he probably p*ssed off the NHS service too and they refused to revive him. Talk about emergency service brutality.

With regards to emergency vehicles being tagged, so therefore do not get speeding tickets, not true. I'm a fire fighter and got snapped by a Gatso on the way to a shout, on blues, doing 64mph on an A road. Still got a ticket like everyone else, just got exempt from the fine and points as we were on the way to an emergency.
As to sirens, we are taught only to use them to make other road users aware of our 'presence' if blues don't do the trick. No traffic = no sirens! No point in putting them on just for the sake of it!

little miss fire, I advise you to let the last comment slide. There's more police on this board and theres only like two of you here.
I think you should come here to me let me protect you from these nasty policemen.

Got home from work yesterday, 2 NIPs from the same job. (nice straight dual carriageway with lots of cameras)
As has been mentioned above, vehicles recorded on PNC still generate NIP, and then it's up to the driver to prove it was a legit emergency call.
It's one of the roads I use most often for calls, so end up getting NIPs with monotonous regularity. Still, I suppose it uses up the film.

We use Edinburgh for emergency drive training from our college in the borders and if I remember right Lothian and Borders dont send the tickets out if it is obviously an emergency service vehicle with warning systems on, or it hasn't been passed to me anyway?
