Totally, in the beginnig, I know there was a mutual attraction cos I asked her, but her words were "we are both with people so there's nothing we can do about it anyway". Since then we have continued to see each other every couple o months or so for a night out(more frequently as time has gone on). Whats changed is that im now single and she is with someone who isnt right for her...Her Words !
In that time, she split up with her boyfriend for a fortnight, who did she call...(all the time) me! Lookin back, its difficult to see whether I was a friend or if she was makin advances, but she may have realised I wouldnt do anything cos I was still with someone of 6 years.
So many blokes have trouble working out what women want! a lack of communication doesnt help & can cause a situation like mine.

You should have your own chat show, sence has been made once again!It would be a lot easier to pretend Iv met a new girl whom she doesnt know and wait for the reaction. I think if it was one of her mates it would perhaps get a similar reaction, just intensified?
By the way my motivation isnt purely sexual, I love spendin time with her(as she does with me, her words), the sex and forming of a relationship of bf/gf seems natural to me.

Sorry to hear about your cuddlebitch m8, I had a similar thing happen to me, n in my case it all worked out, shes now my girlfriend ! You never know she might be the one afterall!!

How do you tell in the first few times you are with a girl, weather she's a cuddle bitch or if its more than that, to avoid this in the future with any prospective girlfriends ???

Wow, so much sense being talked here!
Vin - I'm in a similar position with someone I've known v well and got on v well with for a long time who is finally splitting up with her (unsuitable!) bloke. I admitted I fancied her years ago, to an awkward silence as we were both with other people. I recently found casue to remind her of this, but she claims she thought that was in the past! Doh - once you fancy someone you generally have to get it out your system! She's reluctant to talk about it and I haven't forced the issue. As she has now just started seeing someone else (all too quick!) to raise it would seem like sour grapes.
Bloody rotten, innit. I have to say it's more restlessness rather than anything deeper on my part, but still tough bounce.
In answer to your question though - it's impossible to tell. Some women you might be able to, but you can't apply what you might learn to another woman and another situation. It's not much comfort, but surely the positive things about the time you've spent with her outweigh your bad feelings now.
However, I'm not sure I'll remain anywhere near as close to my muse as when I thought I was well placed. Same for you perhaps.

Prob wont be as close as we were when I though we were both interested in the same thing, but I rekon thats one of those things that will get easier with time. It's kinda hard to tell whats gonna happen though really...
I agree it is definatly something you have to get out of your system, thats exactly how I feel, an yes it is bloody rotten...but some of the comments further up will help to make things slightly easier, such as get back out there, fish in the sea, nights out with mates etc.

UPDATE:
I went out with the afformentioned girl on xmas eve and as it happened, my dashboard caught fire, n we had to wait for the tow truck etc. I kinda felt like we bonded though this little adventure in a big way, but I could be wrong (on her part).
She is stayin with her boyfrinds family for a couple o days, but said she will get in contact when she returns.

I have been so blind, she is a bitch ! I always let her snide comments pass (and her bithciness towards other girls I know), but today she turned on me, an made me realise how dumb iv been!
She was with a mate of hers at the time, who seemed kinda embarressed at the way in which she was treating me !
